Talented Ukrainians, only appearing on Music Olympus, immediately blew up the radiochants and conquered the hearts of millions of music lovers. The name of the group of the guys was chosen for no reason: the boombox (portable cassette tape recorder of the 80s) reflects the love of musicians to their work, and allegedly talks about the ownership of the team to informal parties.Compound
Initially, the Boombox group was created by Ukrainian musicians as an opportunity to realize personal ideas - the guys played a close circle "for themselves." Everyone had a permanent job in other well-known teams. Andrei Holvnyuk sang in the Graffitu, and the guitarist Andrei "Muha" Samoo and DJ Valentin "Valik" Motek for seven years worked in the group "Tartak".
Events developed dramatic. Having learned that young people are trying to record a separate album, the leader of Tartak Alexander Pozhansky found it with betrayal, and the musicians flew out of the team with the formulation of the "intersection of business interests". Halvnyuk stood at the crossroads - his native project was suspended. The guys decided to seriously develop "Boombox", to start remaining in such a modest. The official year of education of the group - 2004.
Young people at one time came to conquer the capital of Ukraine from different provinces of the country. So, the Motek Rod from Novovolynsk, in Kiev, he won the best sketch wizard. Samoel was born and grew up in Lutsk, here from the young age began to play the team "Flies in Tea", from where and the nickname went.
Chilvnyuk from Cherkasy - also from childhood was fond of music, graduated from the class of Accordion, was part of the Mandarin Paradise group, and moved to Kiev, became interested in swing and jazz. Later, the list of members of the team replenished the drummer Alexander (Lusik) Lulikin, Pavel Litvinenko's keyboard player and bass guitarist Denis Levchenko.
Music
With the new musical project, music lovers met at the Gull-2004 festival. A year later, the "Boombox" presented the first album "Melomania", which caused Furore on the radio stations of Ukraine. However, some difficulties were preceded by success. The guys quickly created a record, but managers detained her official release.
The team went to a curious step to bring the meeting of the people with a debut creative collection: "Boomboxes" distributed the records to the right and left - friends, acquaintances, just lovers of new music. Songs at the speed of light went into the people, and from there on the radio. Tracks have gained popularity outside the Motherland - the composition has already sowed Russia. In every corner of the post-Soviet space, the concerts of the group were looking forward to.
The second album, published in 2006, called "Family Bisnes", strengthened the success of "Boombox". The record turned on the songs in Ukrainian, as well as "Hottabych" and "Washters" in Russian, who became hits. As Andrei Hlyvnyuk noted in an interview, this is a gift to Russian friends. In Ukraine, the album received gold status, and in Russia platinum, bought as hot cakes. Especially the listeners conquered the last composition.
The plate was very different from the debut album, which is based on improvisations: now the guys paid close attention to the sound, the bits and lyrics worked. Invited musicians joined the main composition, adding the works by the sounds of piano and slide guitars.
In the fall of 2007, the Bombox group pleased fans with a mini-album "Trimai". From him, the song "Ta4To" immediately got into the rotation of the radio stations of Moscow, and the director Vladimir Yakimenko shot the clip. In early December, the capital of Russia met the team at the IKRA club. It is noteworthy that Ta4To has become a record holder in the number of cover versions. The song loved the poetess Vera Polozkov, gladly inserting it into the program of his concerts.
The group was fruit. In 2008, again presented a new, third, full-fledged album. "III" also included songs in Russian, this time the compositions were already three out of 11 presented. And again "Boombox" sounded on all radio stations of Ukraine, Russia and even Belarus.
The album "Seedni Vik" fans received in 2011. From unusual features - Includes the song "went out", which represents the interpretation of the composition of Konstantin Meladze "went out", written for the VIA Gra group.
To create a plate "Thermalnal B" (2013), the Bubox team inspired frequent flights, in addition, part of the songs, the guys had to write directly in the terminals of airports. The album was mixed with tracks from early creativity and "electronic era" of the group.
Three years "Boomboxes" chased in light with concerts, without creating albums. And finally, in 2016, Maxi-Single "People" presented, and in August 2017 and Goli King, which included only six songs, including the acoustic version of the composition "People". A large tour of Ukraine, which began with Chernovtsov, was confined to the release of the next collection, which began with Chernivtsi and covered 21.
In the same 2017, "Boombox" created several clips. One of the bright - on the song about dislike for himself and "jams" in the events of the past "former", the director of whose spouse of Chilvnyuk Anna Kopylova. A woman often puts a video for the group, she, for example, tried the image of the director for the composition "COMPACE".
For the key song of the album "Goli King" with the same name, two clips were immediately under the directorhood of Denis Razniki. In the second version, the main characters are residents of the capital of Ukraine and members of the BELARUS FREETRE troupe. With the theater, the guys work for a long time, in 2016 together went to the world tour with the play "Burning Doors", where the work of the work "Boombox" is played. As a result, the production received the British Offie Prize.
The Ukrainian team collaborated with foreign musicians. In his piggy bank, teamwork with Rapper Dmitry Shurov, DJ TNMK Tonique Le Deejay. Musicians also suffered popular creations from the past. So, at the request of the group "Time Machine", a cover version "Stars do not go to the subway", even there was an interpretation of the composition of Igor Talkov "Summer Rain" in the repertoire.
The songs "Boombox" sound in feature films. "Washters" sounded in the Ribbon "Red Pearl of Love" (2008) with Oksana Fander in the title role. Group "Boombox" now
The Bombox team does not touch Russia fundamentally in Russia, and in 2017 he refused the invitation to perform on the grounds of the Crimea. At the end of the year, the scandal broke out - the guys canceled a number of concerts in their homeland, the reason remained the mystery. Although fans assumed that they simply did not have time to implement the required number of tickets. The promised concerts took place in the spring of 2018 in five Ukrainian cities.
On March 15, "Boomboxes" presented fans of vinyl records of albums "People" and "Goli King", released in Italy. At the same time, Andrei Hlyvnyuk took part in a curious project - Ukrainian celebrities recorded 250 world fairy tales in audio format. Works are posted in public domain.
The latter news the group is divided into "Instagram". At the end of April, in Kiev, the second time in his career introduced a unique show "Again the Troika", which lasted two days and consisted of 44 songs.
