Maria was born in Moscow. Father left the family, so Mom brought up her daughter alone. Already in adulthood Alekhina decided to find a parent, but the meeting brought only disappointment - two abandoned families and four children were behind the father's shoulders.
Maria, from childhood, was distinguished by a difficult character, the teenager had already begun to be vividly interested in events in society, expressed sympathy of oppositioners and criticized the imperfections of the political system. Attempts to prove the rightness of their own views led to the troubles, from which Mom always helped.
After graduating from school, Maria Alekhina entered the Institute of Journalism and Literary Creativity. In the circles of teachers heard a girl calm and responsive, even got the nickname "Tikhonya with the soul of Don Quixote."
Teenage desire to make the world better than over the years did not disappear. In the student, Masha could be seen on the shares of the Russian branch "Greenpeace", defended together with hundreds of the same caring reserve Big Utrish, Lake Baikal and Khimki Forest.
The girl participated in the charity movement Danilovtsy and volunteer programs, in particular, performed by the organizer of creative circles for the children of a children's psychiatric hospital.
At the same time, Alekhina joined the ranks of the Scandalous Art Group "War", which became famous for the shocking fees - orgia in the biological museum and a blatant action with frozen chicken in the St. Petersburg supermarket. Music
Maria joined the Pussy Riot musical project formed in 2011. The team consisted exclusively of girls whose faces on speeches were always hidden under knitted balaclava. Participants ranked themselves for feminists, defended the LGBT community and against Putin's regime.

The first illegal "tour" of the collective was held before the elections to the State Duma in 2011. According to the accompaniment of electric guitars in the subway and on the trolleybus roofs, Pussy Riot performed the song "Liberate a bruster". A month later, the girls shone in expensive boutiques and a cafe with the composition "Kropotkin-Vodka". And by the end of the year they climbed into the roof of the special receivers number 1, where people who came to the rally after the election were.
In 2012, Maria, together with another family participants, arranged a campaign on the frontal place of Red Square. Personal life
According to the press, Maria Alekhina is not married, but almost all life in a relationship with a man named Nikita, with whom familiar from childhood. In 2006, I became my mother - the Son was born, which was named Philip.
Masha is a convinced vegetarian, loves to travel, even traveled to Europe in the student. Alekhina writes poems that publishes in the blog and "instagram", tried forces in literary competitions. Scandals
At the end of February 2012, a loud scandal with the participation of the Pussy Riot team was broke out. The girls performed the song "Virgin Mary, Putin Rounty!" On this, the authors of the political project did not calm down, continuing together or alone rebel against the system. In 2016, the punk group arranged a share during the Olympiad in Sochi, which was called "Putin will teach you to love their homeland," causing a wave of criticism from the IOC.
And in December of the next year, Maria made a single picket in honor of the 100-year anniversary of the HCC. The girl came to the building of the UFSB and launched a banner, which was reading: "Happy Birthday, Balays." Picketer was detained by taking 40 hours of public works.

In February and in the midst of the spring of 2018, Alekhina again became the heroine of the media.
