The history of creation and composition

In 1978, students of the Leningrad Polytech Alexei Preychin and Evgeny Voloschuk founded the Orion's musical team. Talented young people managed to even achieve some popularity in student circles. Soon the drummer, flutist and guitarist joined the duet, and already in this composition "Orion" began to conquer the city's musical areas.

Three years later, the team almost collapsed, the musicians were separated by various groups, and someone also abandoned music. At that moment, Voloschuk and the prey, the newly remaining together, were close to leaving the dream of the scene. However, fate ordered otherwise, and the artists got acquainted with Edmund Sklensky, who was destined to become the main inspirer, permanent soloist and the soul of a new team.

Musicians resumed rehearsals, began to try various styles and look for comrades. A year later, the team that has replenished with many more musicians recorded a debut album called the "smoke", and this moment is considered to be the beginning of a serious professional biography of the Picnic Group. However, the present confession was waiting for the Sklensky and the company a little later.

The first composition of the Picnic Group

Now, after numerous substitutions, care and appearance of new names, Edmund Sklensky remained as part of the group (still vocalist, as well as guitarist and the author of most teams), Drummer Leonid Krynos, son Edmund Sklensky - Stanislav Sklensky (responsible for arrangements, playing On the keyboards and performs on the back-vocal), as well as the bass guitarist and the back-vocalist Marat Khuchny. For some time about the group, nothing was heard, but soon it turned out that the new project was not achieved. Musicians returned back and in 1991 released another record - "Harakiri".

The following years have replenished the discography of the Picnic: First, the first collection of the best songs "Collective Album" appears, in 1995 the group presented a "a little fire" record, and in 1996 he left the album called "Vampire Songs".

This plate was for a long time was destined to become one of the most popular albums of the group, and the compositions "only in love with a vampire", "hysterics" and "White Chaos" still loved fans. It is noteworthy that to record this album Edmund Sklensky invited Vocalist Andrei Karpenko, who performed the part of the songs.

The 2001 is marked by the appearance of the record "Egyptian", which the Sklensky himself described as "album of one song". According to the artist, "Egyptian" is the case when the meaning is laid in one major song of the album, the rest only complement it.

At the same time, with the release of this record, the Picnic began to arrange pyrotechnic shows at concerts. And the year later, the album "Alien", who was remembered by the composition "And maybe there was not me."

Traditionally, artists have prepared a new concert program, on whose premiere Vadim Samoilova (group "Agata Christie"), composer and musician Alexei Mogilev and Singer Utah (Anna Osipov). The next plate is "obscurantism and jazz" - came out in 2007. At the same time, at the beginning of the year, the team noted the 25th anniversary. The concert dedicated to this anniversary was invited by the Bi-2 groups, "Kukryniksi", as well as Valery Kipipers (Aria Group). And already in 2008, the prolific team presented a new record - "Iron Mantras". In the same year, a container "Gentle vampire" group "Nautilus Pompilius" appeared in the performance of Picnic.

The 2010 is marked with the output of the record "Theater of the Absurd" with the title composition of the same name. Also popular songs "Doll with a human face" and "Wild singer". And traditionally updated the show program with which the team went to the next long-lasting tour.

From that moment on, not every year was noted the release of the new plate "Picnic". These were new studio albums, and collections of songs of different years, and even collections of cover versions of the songs of other performers. And since the autumn of 2016, in the spring of 2017, the team on the tour, together with the listeners, celebrated the 35th anniversary, traditionally prepared a bright show.

In 2017, the Picnic was published another record - "Sparks and Kankan".

And in the spring of 2018, the photo of the team participants appeared on the pages of news publications and sites, as well as "Instagram" and other social networks, but this time far from joyful occasion. The fact is that the musicians fell into an accident on the track - their minibus crashed into an accident. Fortunately, everyone remained alive, but the touring tour had to be interrupted, since the artists received serious injuries.

On the official website of the team, Edmund Sklensky admitted that a surprise was preparing for fans, but the details left in the secret.
