Olga Aleksandrovna Fokina - Soviet and Russian poetess, Winner of the State Prize of the RSFSR named after M. Gorky and the Big Literary Prize of Russia, an honorary citizen of Vologda.

Childhood and youth
A poetess was born in the washed three cold seas of the Arkhangelsk region in 1937. Grown in the village of Artemyevskaya in a large family, where several generations earned the life of peasant labor, cultivating the land.
Childhood Olga Fokina was difficult. Soon after her birth, the Great Patriotic War was killed. The father, having suffered a tuberculosis, went to the front, leaving six children on the care of his wife. The head of the family in 1943 returned and in the same year died.
Olga Aleksandrovna, remembering the hungry childhood, for the whole life, retained the careful attitude to bread and the habit of not throwing away even the dried crust. To survive, small focins ate potato cleaning and asked alms in the yards.
However, childhood memories are not only hunger, the death of the father and the struggle for survival. Olga Fokina, mentally lying through the pages of the biography, remembers a good mother who woke up a creative beginning in it. Graduated 4th grade of church parish school, a woman who knew the dozens of poems of Russian poets, who mentally recharged children with long winter evenings.
Love for poetry was born in Fokina and thanks to his life in the harsh northern Territory, the inhabitants of which loved old folk songs, fulfilling them on festive feasts and on Zavaling after a difficult day. After graduating from primary school, the girl went to study in a medical school. The study was given by Olga easily, but the soul lay to another: the poems composed every free minute of Fokina.
With honors, graduating from the school and having received the right without exams to enter a medical university, Olga Fokina headed to the Pedagogical Institute. But at the philological faculty, a recommendation was required, which the young poetess had no. The local branch of the Writer Union replied to the girl with refusal, although her poems willingly printed the Arkhangelsk newspaper North Komsomolets.
A young nurse was entrusted to lead the medplex on a forest downtrend far from civilization. Overcoming road off-road kilometers to get to the patients demanding medical care, Olga composed poems.
Literature
In 1957, Fokina talked to the desired door for the second time: essays in the capital's literary institute. Soon the answer came from Moscow: the poet Victor Bokov, admired by the work of a young colleague, invited Siberian to the university. Reception Commission, having familiarized himself with the works of the Arkhangelsk nugget, came to admiration. Its writings were compared with the poems of Marina Tsvetaeva, about which 20-year-old Siberian from the depthion in those years did not know.Soon, a student Olga Fokina, attending poetic seminars, met the same nuggets as herself - from Vologda, Vasily Belyov and Sergey Vikulov. In many ways, thanks to them, Fokina went to Vologda after graduating from the university, and did not return to their homeland. In Vologda, I got acquainted with the countryman Nikolai Rubtsov.
Worked in the editorial office of the Vologda Komsomol Center. In 1963 released the first collection of poems "Cheese Bor". After 4 years of the writer awarded the medal "For Labor Valor". In 1976, Olga Fokina for the book "Poppy Day" was presented with the State Prize of the RSFSR, and in the 1980s, the Order of the Honor Sign and the "Labor Red Banner" was added to the collection of awards.

Personal life
With a future husband, Olga Fokina met in the capital, in the Litin Institute. Alexander Churbanov - Colleague, writer. Soon both received the membership of the Writers' Union.
The couple lived under one roof of 10 years. In marriage, children were born - Son Alexander and Daughter Inga. But creative unions, in which two ambitious and talented people plow one Niva, are rarely happy.
The male pride of the wife of Fokina, who wrote the novel "Sea Salt", suffered from the fact that his wife's popularity exceeded his own. Writers parted, but official divorce was not issued.
Daughter of writers - Inga Churbanova - also writes poems, she is a member of the Union of Writers. The son chose a different way: he graduated from Fizmat and worked with a programmer engineer. Children presented mothers of six grandchildren.

In 2017, poetess celebrated the 80th anniversary. She still works much and fruitfully, meets with readers, communicates with journalists.
After the release of the series about the poets-sixties "The Mysterious Passion" Fokina, personally acquainted with Bella Ahmadulina, Robert Christmas, Evgenia Yevtushenko, expressed the opinion of the film. She did not like that the creators of the project threw the shadow on the reputation of writers: a rampant life with the sea of alcohol, according to Olga Fokina, author's fiction.
