In 1977, the daughter called Julia was born in the family of skaters. Star parents were busy career, so they could not pay sufficient attention to the child. Her upbatch was engaged in grandmother.
In 1979, Lyudmila found a tumor of the lymphatic system. The fight against the disease lasted 7 years. She lay in the hospital for the past six months, where he managed to write a book. As a result, the woman died. At the time of the tragedy she was 39 years old, daughters - just 9. Alexander was with his wife until the last hour.
Years later, the Olympic champion married again. His second wife became Irina Gorshkov. She supported Alexander at that difficult for him. The woman worked as a translator at the Embassy of Italy, she had a son from the first marriage. There were rumors that they met before the death of Lyudmila.
