The beginning of the creative path of the collective is taken to indicate 1996, but it all started much earlier. The founders of the Brad Delson group and Mike Shinoda in childhood studied in one class (they still close friends). The guys together recorded songs in Michael's room, shared the ideas of compositions and composed poems.
The first "serious" group of group they scored just in 1996. They were joined by three more buddies. There was no money from the young team, and the Solist's bedroom still served as a studio. The group took the name Superxero, then part of the Super decided to remove.

New demo-recording recordings reacted with an unexpected delight. Soon the group that took another name - Hybrid Theory, moved to Los Angeles. The Golden Composition formed at the time remained unchanged until 2017: the authors and vocalists Chester Bennington and Mike Shinoda, drummer Rob Bourdon, DJ Joseph Khan, Guitarists Dave Farrell and Brad Derson.
Music
In 1999, the label Warner Bros. Records suggested a team to conclude a contract. Then they created a debut album in the Spirit of Rap-Metal, whose name coincided with the name of the collective. The release of the first plate turned into a triumph: copies continue to be sold so far (the cumulative circulation exceeded 30 million), and the Crawlling song brought the Musicians the first Grammy Prize.
According to the soloist, its struggle with drugs and alcohol reflected in it - then Chester Bennington desperately tried to overcome dependence and expressed it in the song so sincerely that the fans were touched.
"We try to write about universal emotions, for example, when you feel insignificant, optimistic or broken," said Shinoda.After the release of the first album, the name had to be changed again, and urgently - at that time there was already a Hybrid team in Britain. His musicians accused of "skipping" with a similar name in plagiarism and threatened the trial. Chester offered colleagues the name "Lincoln Park", but the group's plans were the creation of an online site, and the domain of the same name was already busy. I had to take a slightly modified version of Linkin Park.
The next album METEORA, who came out in 2003, did not give way to the first in popularity. The top lines of MTV and Billboard ratings, active rotation on the radio and TV, the delight of the public at concerts proved that the success of the debut plate was not accidental and the musicians are able to create truly original compositions.
Many creative people note that the release of the third work often becomes crisis time: it is impossible to offer fans something fundamentally new, because the former style has already been loved by them, but also the continuation in the old spirit will cause accusations of repeatability and loopedness. Not bypassed these problems and Linkin Park.
Their next album Minutes to Midnight surprised fans, unexpectedly rejected from the branded hybrid style towards alternative rock. Most fans approved the results of the experiment. This time, the group compositions not only headed the hit parades, but also sounded as soundtracks in the Terminator, Transformers, Twilot, "Thirst Speed".
In 2009, Single came out with the song New Divide, which was later called the best in the history of the team. In further album, the musicians continued to experiment: Thousand Suns acquired melancholic electronic sound, Living Things switched to personal topics and imagined the elements of folk and country music, and The Hunting Party marked return to the early style of the group with her long guitar solo, notes of New - Male and elements of rap.
Despite the bright stage image, in life, Linkin Park musicians behaved calmly and adequately - they did not demand to serve alcohol behind the scenes, did not suit the violent parties and after each concert they had paid attention to their fans, distributing autographs. On July 20, 2017, members of the group and fans shook the news about the suicide of Chester Bennington. Two months earlier, His friend Chris Cornell from the SoundGarden group hanged. Chester was seriously worried about the earned, but no one guessed that he would also soon voluntarily leave life in the same way. No note Bennington left. The musician was only 41 years old, he had a wife and six children.
