Ekaterina Robertovna Christmas was born in Moscow on July 17, 1957 in the family of the famous Soviet poet Robert Christmas and Alla Kirevaya, literary criticism. Katya was the eldest daughter, her younger sister's name is Ksenia. From the young age, the girl absorbed the cultural atmosphere of the family: interesting people were constantly coming to Christmas, literary evenings were arranged.
Catherine visited the Children's Sadik Lithofand, from the first class began to learn English. The teenager dreamed of becoming a doctor, but by graduation year changed his mind and entered MGIMO. At the Faculty of International Relations mastered French. He graduated in 1979.
Career and creativity
In the youth Katya worked on television by a foreign program translator into Russian. Then she took up literary translations from English and French. She worked on the works of John Le Carre, J. Steinbeck, Somerset Moem, Sidney Sheldon and others, translated more than a dozen books.
In 1985, the General Veadian USSR Committee sent Christmas on a business trip to India. On the shores of Ganges, Catherine did reports for the gear "International Panorama" and "Time". Then there was a break in the work dedicated to the raising of children.
1998 was swivel for the biography of Christmas: she, not being a professional, took up photography. Photos of this series began in 2000 and now continues to publish the magazine "Caravan Stories".
In addition to the "private collection", Christmas has created such photocrehensites as "Rodin", "fairy tales", "Vintage", "Associations", "Classic", "Still Life" and others. In the shooting, a woman involved more than 3,000 models: actors, singers, athletes, public and politicians, journalists, TV presenters.
In 2001, the Seven Days newspaper began publishing the "most beautiful people of the world" series. Catherine participated in this project.
The exhibition of works from the "Private Collection" series first passed in 2002 in the Moscow House of Photography. Personal exhibitions of works by Christmas attend the gallery of the cities of Russia, the countries of the near and far abroad.
On the eve of the 50th anniversary, in 2006, Ekaterina Robertovna awarded the Olympia Award in the Art-Style category for the original author's manner in art. In 2009, Christmas was elected by an honorary member of the Russian Academy of Arts.
In 2011, Catherine became a fashionable designer. Her cell line "Rob-Art by Katya Rozhdestvenskaya", named after the Father, was an experiment, but became popular. Copyright dresses and tunics (photos from the author's personal archive) were first demonstrated in 2011.
The "Mood Clothing" collection attracted attention to Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia in Moscow in 2012. Currently, Rob-Art by Katya Rozhdestvenskaya is presented in Tsum. Along with the clothes, the brand represents home textiles and scarf ruler.
In 2012, Christmas was taken by the post of chief editor of the 7 Days magazine. On July 28, 2012, President Putin V. V. awarded Ekaterina to the Order of Friendship "For great merits in the development of domestic culture and art, many years of fruitful activities."

Personal life
Catherine Christmas, the mother of three children, was married to Dmitry Biryukov, a journalist, president of the publishing house "Seven Days". Young familiarized in Jurmala, they were 17 years old.
