Valentin Pikul was born in Leningrad on July 13, 1928. Parents Savva Mikhailovich and Maria Konstantinovna were immigrants from peasant families. The life of the writer began not easy - early years and adolescence fell on the Great Patriotic War, which did not gear anyone.
Up to 4th grade, the boy lived with his parents in Leningrad, he studied perfectly and visited the circles of acrobatics and drawing. A year before the war, the Pikuli moved to Molotovsk, where the father of the future writer got a job. Passing exams for grade 5, Valya and Mom went to Leningrad, to visit the grandmother. The beginning of the war did not give the family to return home by autumn, and then the blockade began.
In winter, 1941-1942, the worst time of the blockade, Valentin Savvich and Mother lived in Leningrad. It was possible to evacuate from the besieged city only on the "road of life" - under the shelling and with a permanent risk to go to the bottom of Lake Ladoga along with the car. By this time, the boy from the lack of food and vitamins developed dystrophy and ration.
The family was evacuated to Arkhangelsk, Pikule's father at that time had already fought in the ranks of the marines. Valentin Savvich, despite the young age, did not want to sit down in the rear. From Arkhangelsk, the young man fled at Solovki, to the Sung School. In 1943, the Pikul finished his studies and was directed to the Squaded Mission "Grozny" Northern Fleet. Pikule's father at this time was missing under Stalingrad.
The guy passed the whole war. By the time of the succession of Germany, Valentina was 17 years old, and in his personal case was characteristic, according to which Jung V. Pikul was able to make rapid acts.
After the victory, the young man was sent to the Leningrad Preparatory Naval School to Leningrad, but it did not work with study - in 1946 he was expelled with the wording "for lack of knowledge." Official education, he also limited 5 school classes - he did not study anywhere anywhere and gained knowledge independently, with the help of books.
Literature
Professional literature began with visits to the mug of the faith of Ketlin, the winner of the Stalinist Prize. The first 2 novels did not pass "review" by the author and flew into the trash can. It was published only the 3rd work - "Ocean Patrol". After the release of Roman Pikule was taken to the Union of Writers of the USSR.
At that time, his friendship began with Viktor Kurochkin and Victor, and only the literary path also started. Inseparably, friends called them "Three Musketeers".
Interest in the history of Russia, the Pikule eventually became stronger, and in 1961 he saw the light of the Bayazet novel about the siege of the same fortress during the Russian-Turkish war. This book Valentin Savvich considered the beginning of his writer's biography. After the "bayazet" of the writer was regularly published, and an authentic success came to a picker after in 1971 the story "Star" published a novel "Feather and a sword".
The next work, which turned out to be at all hearing, became "unclean power." The first attempt of the publication took place in 1979, but then the novel caused such a storm of emotions and critics that the full edition was only 10 years later.
"Unclean power" tells about the events of the tsarist power in Russia, the period when the figure of Gregory Rasputin came to the first plan of the palace and political life. Critics presented a claim to the ability to describe the era, historical figures, the imperial family and their environment.
As a rule, Valentina Savvich's prose was criticized in liberal circles, accusing a writer in the desire to please the authorities. "Unclean power" caused contradictory emotions and supporters of advice. People close to the picule subsequently argued that because of the novel, the writer was beaten, and by order personally, Suslov had been established by a secret surveillance.
Another novel about the pre-revolutionary and revolutionary time, "Honor," was released in 1986, but this publication was calm.
Career writer last 40 years. During this time, he wrote more than 30 major literary works and many story-essays. According to the memories of his wife, the Pikul could work for days. In periods of inspiration, he did not just wrote - he pronounced, and could even play scenes from novels himself. The writer had a superstition - he did not start a new creation on Monday.
The picule came to literary work very responsibly. He did not limit the sources of only the official, approved literature approved by the party. For each character, the writer started a separate card to which all the important points recorded. After the death of Valentine such cards left more than 1000.
The latter, unfinished work of the writer became Roman "Barbarossa" about the history of the Second World War. The book was supposed to consist of two volumes, in the breaks between which the Pikul was going to write a novel about the 18th century "When the kings were young." The plans were not destined to come true - before the death of Valentin Savvich managed to write only part of the first volume. The ideas of the novels about the ballerina Pavlova, Mikhail Vrubel, the sister of Peter I Sofye remain unfulfilled.
According to the books of the Picule, successful films and serials were repeatedly starred. The greatest rating according to the cinema sites belongs to the screening of the Moison novel, published in 1987.
Personal life
Valentin Pikul was married three times. With the first wife of Zoya Chudakaya, he met at 17 years in line. The marriage was hasty: the girl became pregnant, and Valentina had to marry - in those times, the morals did not allow liberty. The only daughter of the writer, Irina, who inherited the interest of the Father to the Maritime was born, was born from this union, which later became a shipbuilder engineer.
The greatest importance in the personal life of the writer had two last spouses.
In 1956, Valentine met Veronica Feliksovna Chugovna, who became his second wife. A woman did not immediately agree to marry him - did not perceive as a man's groom for 10 years younger than her. The spouse assumed the whole life, all the "worldly" problems and gave Valentina the opportunity to devote themselves to the writer. The second wife, the writer dedicated the novel "Word and Case". At the advice of Veronica, the family moved from Leningrad to Riga - thus managed to change the room in a communal room on a two-bedroom apartment. There is, however, the version is that a separate living space has become a reward for loyalty to the Pikule authorities.
Veronica died in 1980, and the writer remained alone. For life, he was adapted to a little, and an employee of Antonina library took over him. When a woman did a sentence after a short time, it turned out to be a complete surprise. Both were already adult people, Antonina Ilinichna - two children from the first marriage, and no courtship preceding the offer.
When Antonina, Iply, said that it could not accept such a decision independently and should consult with the children, the Pikul replied that he would take her to the house and would wait exactly half an hour. If the sinking does not go down - go home.
The son and daughter gave consent, and the woman moved to Valentina on the same day: the writer ordered not to take things, said that life would begin with a clean sheet. The relationship of the spouses was built already in marriage - before that they almost did not know each other. The first two years of Antonina even called the husband by name-patronymic.
The Union turned out to be strong: With the Third Woman, Valentine lived until the death of death, and Antonina became his main biographer. For books about the picule, the widow was adopted by the Writers of Russia and is considered the main popularizer of Valentina Savvich's literature.
Death
Valentin Savvich Pikul died suddenly on July 16, 1990. The cause of death served as a heart attack.
The writer was buried in Riga, on the forest cemetery. Later, the widow found a book, an inscription was discovered on her mound, in which the writer predicted the day of death, marking only 3 days.
