Alexander was born in the Swedish city of Arbuga in the winter of 1987. By nationality he is a Swede. The boy from childhood was fond of sports games, so at 10 years old parents gave it to the boxing section.
Regularly visiting the workout and diligently hopping the blows, soon the guy goes to the first competitions, and already at the age of 16, it goes to the Junior National Boxing Championship and in 2003 becomes champion of Sweden in his age group.
Martial arts
In 2006, mixed martial arts appear in the biography of Gustafsson. At 19, he passes into this sport, quickly mastering new techniques and then begins to perform in MMA, and in a year it goes to fights as a professional.
However, the spirit of the boxer with many years of experience does not give a guy a chance to skip boxing battles. And in 2008-2009, Alexander wins several Swedish amateur tournaments, and also wins in a fight with a heavyweight boxing champion. The athlete was ready and next year to perform in the National Boxing Championship, but a contract signed in September 2009 with UFC did not allow it to do.
Before signing a contract in mixed martial arts, Alexander spoke in small battles in Sweden and Europe. For several years of training, he managed to put a professional record in knockouts. In the spring of 2008, he fought with German Florian Muller, who won in the 2nd round.
In the same year he met in a duel with Kshyshto Kulak, who at that time was a promising Polish fighter. Having knocked down a fist, Gustafsson won. And before the signing of the contract, in May 2009, Alexander competed with the veteran MMA Vladimir Shemarov. In the 1st round, the Swede struck the opponent by knockout.
The first fight within UFC in Gustafsson took place in 2009. His rival was Jared Khamman, whom the guy sent a right hand in the first round.
In the spring of 2010, he fought Fil Davis and lost.
However, he prepared more thoroughly to the next battle. The man had to fight Syril Debate, this veteran kickboxing and at that time was a face of mixed martial arts. Gustafsson went to San Diego, to California, and trained under the leadership of his former rival Phil Davis, and also received instructions from Travis Brown, Brandon Vera and other well-known athletes.

In 2015, a fight took place between Daniel Kormye and Alexander Gustafsson. It was a spectacular and strain battle of the UFC champion in a light heavyweight and professional Swedish fighter. In the 1st round, Kormye held a beautiful Teicdown, and in the 2nd, unexpectedly for the American, his opponent has already spent two teykdauna. Personal life
Sport takes a lot of time athlete, however, enough for a personal life. In 2015, he began to meet with Moa Johansson. The girl often visited the fights of a young man and always supported his sporting interest. In May 2017, the fans of the fool found out the joyful news - Alexander became a father, Moa gave birth to him the wonderful daughter, called Ava. The man even laid out a joint photo with a girl and a newborn in social networks, accompanied by its touching signature.
After just a few weeks after that, the long-awaited fight with Glover Teixer, which he won, defeated the opponent by knockout. At the end of the fight, Alexander invited a girl into octave and, put on one knee, under the sight of cameras and views of thousands of spectators made her an offer. Moa did not expect it, she was a rare of his boyfriend's act and answered the cherished "yes."
While only the engagement took place, so the girl does not yet carry the status of his wife. But this did not prevent a pair to increase his family, in September 2018, Gustafsson had a son, now in their family two children.
