The full name of the artist - Algis Iizosovich Arlauskas. He was born on August 7, 1957 in Moscow. The father was by nationality by Lithuanian, and the mother of Carmen Pinedo - Spaniard, the daughter of the revolutionary, which in 1937, together with sisters evacuated from the hometown of Bilbao. In the USSR, Maria received a position in the Commander, later Received by the Translator.
Little Algis early began to show artistic abilities, skillfully imitating famous performers and favorite cartoon characters. He received Soviet education, grew up on the works of Russian literature and theater, but at home, his family members spoke Spanish. Arlauskas considers himself Russian, Moskvich, and his second homeland is Spain.

The first experience in the movie happened at the Algis long before receiving theatrical education. The boy was only 4 years old, when parents led him to casting in Mosfilm. In it, Algis got the role of Sergey, an employee of a ship repair plant. It was then that the young actor met a woman who later became his wife - Marina Shimanskaya, who played to anyone, captain of the vessel (initially this role was to go to Elena Tonunz, but she eventually played Gali).
The biggest creative success in the biography of the actor was an invitation to shoot the Gaidaev Comedy "Sportloto-82". In the first year, the film saw 55 million Soviet spectators, and after the premiere, Arlauskas woke up famous.
Later, however, Algis has never responded to enthusiastic colors about this work, but grateful to Leonid Gaidayus for promoting the culmination of his acting career. Soon after the completion of the shooting "Sportloto-82", Algis decided that he wanted to move from actors to directors, and in 1987 he successfully finished the directorial faculty of Vgika.
In 1991, the artist moved to the mother's homeland, to the Spanish city of Bilbao, where he plunged into serious work. Arlauskas is the author of several documentary works, in particular, the film "Touch" about the Lepoglich scientist Alexander Suvorov, the series about the Spanish political emigrants "live and dying in Russia", the tapes "Conspiracy" about the dreamer Enrique, who is building the theater in the mountains. His directing work is marked by the prizes of prestigious international film festivals.
In addition, in Spain, they, together with his wife, founded a film school where future actors and screenwriters are preparing. Since 2008, Arlauskas began to be often in Moscow and resumed work in Russian cinema.
Personal life
With Marina Shimanskaya he issued a marriage in 1979. Couple born two children - Olga and Alexander. The daughter went to Moscow later, and her son chose to stay in Bilbao.

Shimanskaya appeared on the ether of the program "Let them say", where he said that Arlauskas traded it to another. The deliberate was her own long-standing girlfriend, who lived in Bilbao, where they and Algis met.
