Sergey Mikhalok is a Belarusian musician playing music in SKA styles, reggae and anarcho punk. Popularity came to the artist in the late 1990s due to the Lyapis Trubetskoy group, as the frontman of which he is known to most of the listeners. The "visiting card" of Sergey became deliberately non-serious texts and specific vocals, uncharacteristic for the traditions of the post-Soviet rock.
Sergey Vladimirovich Mikhalok was born on January 19, 1972 in Dresden, then still belonged to the GDR. During the border of the parents of the boy, the profession of Vladimir Mikhalik - he was a personnel officer. Therefore, although parents sent every holidays to the Son to Belarus, the further years of Sergey's childhood were held in the road. A future singer went to school in Altai Slavgorod, finished - in Norilsk, and received higher education already in Minsk.
The artist's family belonged to the category of "Soviet intelligentsia". At home there were always books, the "Youth" and "seeker" were constantly discharged. Parents encouraged his son to independence: Sergey could choose mugs and sections himself, although it was often a boy changed them, having lost one interest and acquiring a new one. Music
Most of Sergey's creativity is currently connected with the Lyapis Trubetskoy group. Mikhalok founded it in 1989, and the name of the team gave the name of the character from the "Twelve chairs" of Ilf and Petrov.
At first, the group was organized specifically: its participants saw each other predominantly at concerts. The situation has changed after the performance of musicians at the "Festival of Music Minorities" in the capital of Belarus - from this moment on, the team still began to gather at rehearsals.
At first, Lyapis Trubetskoy gave concerts only in Belarus and boast of popularity outside the narrow circles of fans of the musical underground could not. The situation of the group has improved in 1996, when they were offered to write an album on a professional studio.
Already then Sergey, the author of the overwhelming majority of songs "Lyapis ..." was not afraid to join confrontation with the authorities. Since the beginning of 2010, in verses, Mikhal began to appear a sharp social context, mainly aimed at criticizing the authorities, and not only Belarusian. Due to the peculiarities of the political situation in Belarus, the musicians fell into the "black list" - reporters were not recommended to mention the "Lyapis Trubetsky" in the media, the group's concerts were canceled.
The peak of the political protest of Belarusian panks was 2013-2014: the group openly supported the protests at the "Maidan", in Russia they made chadlinins at a concert organized as support for Alexey Navalny as a candidate for mayor of Moscow. The team also released the album "Matryoshka", which many in Russia found frankly Russophobic.

Personal life
In the personal life of the artist there were 2 marriages in which two children were born.
