Biography
Canadian English-speaking writer Margaret Evwood is known to Russian readers for the books "Edible Woman", "Major Story", "Oriks and a Coruser", "blind killer", etc. She is also a literary critic and poetess.
Margaret was born in the fall of 1939 in the Canadian capital - the city of Ottawa. The father of the girl worked in the research sphere, studied the forest entomology, in connection with this, the family often moved and for some time stayed in the north of Quebec, between Ottawa, Su-Saint-Marie and Toronto. Since childhood, Margaret devoted a lot of time to reading books, especially her attracted stories about animals, bright comics and fairy tales of the Grimm brothers.
Her childhood was traveling, so the Evwood school received only 8 years in Toronto, which he graduated in 1957. To learn the profession, she stayed there, at the university the girl received a bachelor's degree in French and English, as well as philosophy. Possession of foreign languages was then great helped her in writing.

Personal life
At 29, Margaret tied relations with Jim Regiment, and in 1968 he became a writer's husband. However, their marriage of young people lasted 5 years, and in 1973 they divorced.
After some time, Evwood tries to build a personal life with Roman Graham Gibson. Together they moved to live on the farm next to Aliston, Ontario. By the time the pair brought up two children - Gibson's sons from the previous marriage.
After some time, in 1976, a woman gave birth to a common daughter, called Eleanor. In 1980, the whole family returned to Toronto again.
