Tyler was born in the winter of 1988 in Columbus, grew up with two brothers and sisters. Father worked as a coach in a Christian school, and his mother taught mathematics. The second participant of the Josh Dan group was born in the summer of 1988, also in Columbus. Plays on the shock, pipe and tambourine. In addition to him, there were still three children in the family. As the performer told, in his childhood he was not allowed to listen to music, but he attended music stores in secret, and later he even got a job there.
In 2010, the guy became a member of the House of Heroes team. He came to the place of the past drummer, who left the group for a while, as he wanted to spend time with his family. However, when he returned to the system again, Dan had to leave.
In Twenty One Rilots, he turned out to be like fate. Somehow the guy came to the speech of the team, he really liked the concert - that evening he met Tyler. The guys immediately found a common language and from the moment they began to spend a lot of time in one company. Soon 2 people left the group at once. Joseph called for a concert Dana, the guys played together only one song, and from the moment the musician officially listed as part of the team.
Interestingly, the team is often compared with another group operating in a similar genre - Imagine Dragons. She declared itself in 2008 and became one of the flagships of Indi-rock.
Music
At the end of 2009, the guys recorded their first album, the name did not think for a long time, decided to give him the name of his group. Music guys almost immediately had success, which allowed them to organize a debut tour of the cities of the native state.The second album saw the light in the summer of 2011. Songs were recorded by a new composition. The record called Regional At Best presented on a free speech: at that time, the guys were known to a narrow circle of listeners. This success came to them a little later.
In November of the same year, Twenty ONE Pilots become participants in the show at NewPort Music Hall in Columbus. This concert was attracted to the guys from recording studios, an unusual manner of execution was appreciated and saw talent in their work. Some time, suggestions were filled with different sides to the guys, until they stopped the choice on Atlastic Records, with which the contract eventually concluded.
The first Mini Album Three Songs, recorded in collaboration with Fueled by Ramen (Atlastic Records is their subsidiary label), released in spring 2012, and after 4 months the group goes to a small tour with two more teams. On the same record studio, they worked on the creation of the first full-length album. He helped them producer Greg Wells.
In January 2013, the guys presented the record of Vessel. The audience met her with delight, which allowed the disk for some time to hold a leading position in popular American charts. At about the same time, the guys appeared the first radiochet, they became the song Holding On to You, to which the video was recorded soon.
The next few years a career guys rapidly went up, the duet collaborated with other musicians, participated in the Fall Out Boy group round in support of their new album, and at the same time did not forget about his own creativity. They all also continue to record songs and shoot clips on them. In 2014, they perform at once on three famous festivals, and later go to the tour.
Every year, the music team is becoming increasingly popular, respectively, the discography is replenished. In 2015, artists remove 3 clip in a row, and Soon the songs of Lane Boy and Fairly Local will soon be presented. Then the team receives the first award - the Award Alternative Press Music Awards in the nomination "The best performers of the year."
In May, guys represent the listeners a new studio plate called BlurryFace. In the first week, the studio sold more than 134 thousand disk instances, which raised a group to the 1st position of the popular American chart. The popularity of the guys rapidly increases, and their tour, consisting of 48 shows, enshrines the success acquired in 2015.
In the spring of 2016, Twenty One Pilots go back to the world tour, during which they perform at 107 concerts. Then they visited Russia.

In mid-2018, Josh and Tyler recorded new tracks Nico and The Niners and Jumppsuit, and followed the fans that they prepare for the release of the new album Trench. When the disk came out, they immediately laid out on Youtube and a new video on the track My Blood. The album received gold status, more than 500 thousand copies were sold in the USA.
On July 11, 2018, the musicians reported fans about the new concert tour, which started in October of the same year. The first speech took place in American Nashville. Tours covered many cities and ended in 2019.
