Oleg was born in the summer of 1980 in the Russian city of Kaliningrad. His parents still live there. Father name is Vladimir Lvovich, by profession, sailor. By the way, the man became interested in the maritime cause quickly late, already having 2 higher education and a good position in the local airline, at 33 he became a sailor. Mother Natalya Aleksandrovna - an immunohematologist in the hospital.
In school, the boy studied not bad, and after her graduation, the specialty of the fifty engineer was chosen on the council of his father. In Kaliningrad, he entered the academy of the fishing fleet, however, he studed at 3 years, began to understand that journalism was closer to him. By that time, the young man had already worked in a local newspaper, where he wrote articles. Of course, he reacted to the end, prepared for the exams in the free time from the newspaper.
Several times, being a trainee, Oleg even walked into the sea on a sailing ship. But having received a diploma, he goes to Moscow, because he considers this city the only suitable for full-fledged journalism.
Journalism

The public met the journalist negatively, he was forcibly brought to the scene, declaring the "enemy of Russia" and their movements in particular. After that, Oleg was closed in the room and some time illegally held there.
In the period from 2005 to 2009, Kashin tries himself in other projects. The man worked in the newspaper "Izvestia", the magazine "Expert", the publication "Russian Journal" and the newspaper "Re: Promotion". In addition, Oleg was the leading program on the O2TV channel.
After 4 years of successful work, in 2009, Kashin returns to Kommersant as a reporter, and from 2011 to 2012 it occupies the post of a special correspondent. Attempt and investigation
In the fall of 2010, Oleg Kashin was attacked by two unknown young people. Moreover, the journalist carefully hid the place of residence, removed the apartment in Moscow, the territory of the house was fenced with fences, and video surveillance cameras were installed everywhere.
Male at night on a taxi returned home, unknown people already waited for him at the wicket. The ambulance carrier delivered the victim to the Moscow hospital, where the doctors diagnosed the brush fracture, the lower and the upper jaws and the shin. In addition, doctors recorded multiple damage to soft tissues and cranial injuries.

The conflict between Turchak and Kashin occurred in the summer of 2010, in his blog a journalist negatively spoke about politics and even insulted him. The governor demanded apologies that did not follow. And after 3 months, Kashin was beaten.
In 2015, Oleg said that investigators came to the trail of criminals, they became employees of a mechanical plant in St. Petersburg, which is part of the Leninet holding (belongs to the Turchal's family).
