At the end of the XX century, when the first commercial channels appeared on Russian television, the ether was flooded with the transfer of a wide variety of genres. Humorous shows took their own place in the broadcast grid and quickly won the heart of the audience.Against the background of "Mentopanoram", "O.S.P. Studios "," Kalambura "and other entertainment programs were incredibly difficult to come up with a new format presentation that responds to the tastes of the already sophisticated public. With this task, young Cavencers from "New Armenians" coped with this task, which in the early 2000s adapted the foreign genre of Standap for the Russian viewer and launched a sparkling show called Comedy Club.
History of creation and essence of the program
"Comedy Club" became the first author's project of former Cavencers Garik Martirosyan, Arthur Janibekyan, Artashes Sargsyan and Artak Gasparyan, who, who left the stage of the Moscow Palace of Youth, decided not to return to everyday life and continue his career in show business.
Initially, young talented artists conceived to collect the team of like-minded people who were able to joke, improvise and free to communicate with the public during living speeches. This idea was not Nova. In the West in many institutions, there was a similar group of Standap-comers, having entertained the public in the evening. But in Russia and the rest of the post-Soviet space in the early 2000s, there was not even heard of anything like that.
Having invented the script and fragments of several numbers, the guys were trained at the Moscow public and, having seen a positive reaction, decided to turn to television.
At the end of 2003, the pilot edition called Comedy Club was broadcast by the MTV youth channel in the pre-New Year party format. Despite the fact that this transmission looked at the multi-volume audience, the editors of music television did not see the potential in it and refused further cooperation.
Then the producer of STS Alexander Tsekalo, who visited the concert of Martirosyan and the company, suggested that Kaviechikov had a place in their own ether and personally reconciled the shooting of the debut. However, the trial program did not go further, since the head of the STS Media Holding, Alexander Rodninsky, rejected the finished material with the wording "does not correspond to the concept of the channel."
The creators of the show and leaders of "your new television" were told in different ways. Arthur Janibekyan argued that the cassette with a filmed performance was tried to send commercial and non-commercial television channels in the editorial office and only many months later received a result in the form of an invitation to a permanent job on TNT.
The manual for the mentioned channel itself described the events preceding the appearance of the "Comedy Club" in the broadcast grid. According to the general producer of Dmitry Troitsky, he personally attended the concert of the former "new Armenians" and, impatiently seen, offered the guys to cooperation without previewing the record.
Anyway, at the end of April 2005, young Armenian comedians signed a contract with Gazprom-Media Holding and, having settled on TNT, began weekly to broadcast in the evening.
After the first issues taken in the Atrium shopping and entertainment complex, located next to the Kursk station in Moscow, Comedy Club ratings took off to heaven. This allowed Martirosian and Janibekyan to organize his own multi-profile company and work in the production of a subsidiary called "Comedy Battle", which, under the supervision of Cavanechik, Slepakov became a forge of humorous personnel for the main show.
Continuing to develop, producers and artists moved the shooting to the status Moscow club "Golden Palace" and several times a year began to organize the exit festivals in Jurmala, Sochi, Kazan and other cities of Russia and abroad. Concerts held during the competition at the Russian stage of Formula 1 Grand Prix in 2014, and performances dedicated to the opening of the World Water Sports Championships in 2015.

In 2010, on the eve of the celebration of the 5-year anniversary "Comedy Club", a presentation of the new program format took place on TNT.
