For the first time, "DOM-2" was on the air of the entertainment channel TNT in the spring of 2004 as a continuation of the project "Dom-1". Realistic show "Dom-2" began to go after the completion of the 1st season of the Dom-1 project, which started in the summer of 2003, and ended in 4 months. Initially, it was the prototype of the English version of the Zeal television company, the essence of which was in population of 12 married couples, which together engaged in its construction. Each week, one family left the perimeter of construction, following the project, this house won one of the remaining steam.
There was no big popularity with such a format, and therefore its author Valery Komissarov decided to change the concept. Talking the history of the TV show in an interview with Boris Korchevnikov, he said that he had enjoyed to invent the project's rules. At the same time, he noted that in the first series, participants were always responsible for their actions and did not allow themselves immoral behavior.
In the 2nd season, participants became only single guys and girls who settled in the Baraki. And since the new idea was to create relationships, then those who declared themselves a couple were given the opportunity to live separately from other guys in small houses. From the beginning of the foundation and until 2010, the production of the program was engaged in OJSC TNT-TV. Until 2014, shooting was held in the village of Lobanovo in the Moscow region, and after the site was transferred to the area near the city of Moskovsky, between the KP "Letov Grove" and SNT "Filatov Luga".
At the end of the show, the house was also intended to play between couples of young people, however, in time, interest in the project increased, the film crew expanded, new buildings began to appear on it. After a couple of years, the participants moved to more comfortable conditions, and the pairs were rebuilt with two-storey houses.
From 2010 to 2015, the program filmed "Comedy Club production", and then the show passed to Solaris Promo Production. Literally for the year "Dom-2" became the largest television production studio in Russia, in 2015 revenue amounted to 4.75 billion rubles. And in 2016, the creation of new issues for the show began to engage in TNT-production.
Music for a screensaver, as well as melodies playing before the transition to commercials, wrote composer Olga Sun Nikolaev. The song "15 cool", which has become a hymn of the project, sang the first participants.
Essence and rules reality show

Once a week "House-2" left 1 or 2 people, and also came new people. They met them on the frontal place, in the meadow it is the main shooting area. The past casting was presented, told stories and communicated with the guys. By evening, the main participants had to decide which from the beginners remains with them.
The first issues of the project were published under the name "House-2 - Love". Initially, 7 guys and 8 girls came to the project. It was during this period that 3 main couples were formed, for which the whole country was observed for the life for several years: May and the Sun (May Abrikos and Olga Nikolaeva), Alena Vodonaeva and Stepan Minraskov, Roman Tretyakov and Olga Buzova.
Since the beginning of November, the word "wintering" appeared in the title of the show "Dom-2", marked the beginning of the 2nd part of the season. By the time the construction of a warm house was already completed, where participants and moved from the barracks. In the same period, another strong pair appeared - Alexander Nelidov and Natalia Pavlova. Today, all of them are former participants.
The 3rd part of the season was called "First Spring", and the audience began to discuss another strong, but often quarreled couple Sam Seleznev and Anastasia Dashko. But the next part called the "City of Love" was more significant for the participants, which appeared in the ether in November 2007. Now the shooting was carried out not only in the glade, but also in the city. Moreover, accommodation in apartments automatically defended the participants from departure in the near voting.
Also, this period was marked by the departure of the most bright personalities, among which Olga Buzova, Anastasia Dashko and Sam Seleznev, Stepan of Menchikov and Rustam Solntsev.

Now, instead of urban apartments, half of the participants sent to the Seychelles, which continued to "build love" there. Criticism and scandals

Of course, there are those who look at the show from the very beginning of its foundation, they support the project. However, over the years, a large number of criticism appeared in the address "House-2" and the channel management as a whole.One year after the start of the esters, the Guide "House-2" faced the first problems. In 2005, the deputies of the Moscow City Duma sent a request to the prosecutor's office with a request to check and qualify "Dom-2" as a program that renders a negative information and psychological effect on the mass consciousness.
According to the results of the verification of the prosecutor's office, the transfer was forbidden to broadcast from 5 am and until 11 pm, since it generally systematically exploits interest in sex. Also, representatives of the law obliged law enforcement agencies to attract the perpetrators to disciplinary responsibility. The requirements for transfer of esters in the end was not fulfilled, and the proceedings continued in court.
Since interest in the program and later was considerable, by 2008 a day on the air, 3 programs were published - day version, evening and night. At the same time, representatives of the All-Russian Parent Committee sued "TNT-TVET", explaining in a lawsuit that, in their opinion, "Dom-2" has a destructive effect on the psyche of children.
The Presnensky Court of the capital agreed with the arguments of the applicants and banned the display of the daytime series. TNT appealed against the ruling, but refused to satisfy the claim. However, the Board of the Supreme Court found violations made in decision-making, and sent a lawsuit for a new consideration.
Another meeting did not bring the project for success, on the final decision of the court since October 2009, the daytime issues of the project were over. However, exactly a year later, their show was again restored.

At the end of 2020, the official website of the project appeared the news that "Dom-2" will soon cease its existence. The closing of the television house upset his fans. But they soon sounded rumors that the new series will be available on the air of another channel. This information was confirmed by General Director Alexander Rastorguev, saying that the program "does not close, but finishes its exit on the TNT channel."
