Biography
American-Mexican guitarist Carlos Santana appeared on the Music Olympus in the late 1960s - early 1970s. Carlos Augusto Alves Santana was born in the Mexican Halisco state on July 20, 1947. The family lived in the small town of Autlan de Navarro, where his father worked as a professional musician in the genre of Mariachi, and his mother was engaged in the house and brought up the future owner of Grammy and his younger brother Jorge.

In parallel with the studio work, Santana played the guitar in the jamah sessions with such celebrities, like John Lee Huccher, Frank Franklin and McCoy Tyner, and received great pleasure from improvisation and live performances.

Personal life
In 1973, Santana's wife became the daughter of a blues singer and a guitarist Sonanders King - Deborah. Having become parents of three children - El Salvador, Stella and Angelica, the couple founded a non-profit organization Milagro ("Miracle"), which provided assistance to educational and medical institutions.
The next 34 years of Deborah shared the interests of her husband and was fond of Hinduism. In the church Guru Sri Chinmoy, the spouses received the names of Devadil - "Light, God of God" and Urmila. For eternal happiness in the personal life of this, this was not enough, and in 2007, referring to irreconcilable disagreements, King's daughter filed for divorce.
It is not known how painful Carlos survived parting, but, according to rumors, trying to abstract from family problems, he, together with the chef, Roberto Santibanese, opened the Maria Maria restaurant chain, which now exist in Arizona, California, Texas and Florida.
In 2010, the second wife Santana became a jazz drummer Cindy Blackman, famous for joint performances with Lenny Kravitz, Fairou Sanders, Ron Carter and other musicians.
