Music
In November 1970, Brian Ferry founded the Roxy Music group. The first member of the team was Graham Simpson, bass guitarist. Roxy Music gathered again in 1978 to record the sixth Studio Album "Manifesto" (1979). He reached the 6th place in British charts. But the most successful are the last plates - "Flesh + Blood" (1980) and "Avalon" (1982), which rose to the musical vertex. At the same time, the first and only single who reached the 1st place in the hit parade - "Jealous Guy" (1981). In 1983, after a tour in support of "Avalon", Ferry announced the ROXY Music dissolution. Its solo album "Boys and Girls" (1985) reached the 1st place in the British Chart, becoming the most sold album in the US of the year. The unstable "slave to love" and "Don't Stop The Dance" served as a real decoration of the record and remained for a long time.
Like a solo artist Brian Ferry wanted to avoid touring, but the producers of Virgin Records forced the musician rolling in "Bête Noire" (1987). By the way, the Single "Kiss and Tell" from this album became the only one in the career of the British, who fell into the charts of the United States.
After Tour, Ferry again merged with Brian IO to record Mamouuna (1994). The creative process took 5 years, and during this time the musician managed to release another album "Taxi" (1993), which had more commercial success than Mamouuna.
