Vladimir Nikolaevich Smirnov was born in the east of Siberia in June 1942, at the height of the Great Patriotic War. Rose in the city of Chernogorsk, famous for mines, coal mines and 11 NKVD camps. But Smirnov did not change citizenship, remaining the faithful of the USSR, and then Russia until the end of life.

Death
