In February 1976, the second studio album "Rising" came out. Break in the history of the group lasted 9 years, until 1993. Then Blackmorm finally left the "dark purple team" and reanimated Rainbow. The return of musicians was marked by the album "Stranger in US All" (1995) and a major world tour, which lasted 2 years.
In 1997, Blackmorm remembered the long-standing musical passion for Renaissance and Middle Ages. Blackmore's Night group was created in this genre. The new project required the permanent presence of the ideological inspirator, so Rainbow was again struck on the brakes.
Former Rainbow participants actively used group tracks in solo projects. For example, Blackmore is on a par with "Smoke on the Water" Deep Purple at concerts often performed "Ariel", "Rainbow Eyes", "Street of Dreams" and "Temple of the King".

"The track list of the show by 70% consisted of Rainbow hits, including the legendary Stargazer, the remaining part occupied the nonethered compositions of Deep Purple. The central part in the concerts occupied the music created with Dio.
Planned show visited more than 60 thousand people, from everywhere on Rainbow suggested proposals to continue the tour, but the old age of Blackmore and the tight schedule of performances with the Blackmore's Night did not allow scatter. Nevertheless, in 2017, the group drove through the UK, and a year later, after a 23-year break, recorded the new composition "Waiting For a Sign".
Rainbow now
In 2019, Rainbow released a new version of the ticket to the song Quatermass "Black Sheep of The Family" - a truly cult composition for Richie Blackmore. After all, in the distant 1973, Comrades on Deep Purple refused to insert this "someone else's" song in their album. The event brought a musician to the idea of creating your own project, as a result of which Rainbow appeared. It is said that the track will accompany the video, but what is his concept and how soon the premiere will take place, not reported.
Rainbow musicians do not stand still, run in various projects. For example, Ronnie Romero, together with the Symphony Orchestra in April 2019, performed in Simferopol with the Queen Classic program - the golden hits of the legendary group.
In June 2019, Rainbow plans to perform at the Rock Memories festival in Germany and Rock The Coast in Spain. And a little earlier, in May, the track "The Storm" comes out.
