Vasily Mikhailovich Mahanenko was born on April 20, 1981 in the village of Tomarodov, Belgorod region. Here were the first 17 years of the future writer. After graduating from school, he moved to the regional center and entered Belgorod State University for the Physics and Mathematics Faculty. A diploma of higher vocational education received in 2004.
In his youth, Vasily Mahanenko performed for the KVN student team, was elected to the youth government of the Belgorod region. He was seriously interested in computer games. So a series of Shaman appeared. The main character lives in the world of Barlions - a virtual space based on World of Warcraft. The laws here are the same as in RPG, only by the exception that the players do not feel pain.
The first pages of the debut novel "Path of Shaman" Mahanenko posted on the Internet magazine "Samizdat". He expected a squall of criticism, which would make him forget about the writing craft, and received millions of readings and appeals to continue history.
On the top author, the Alpha Book publisher drew attention. It suggested Mahanenko to release 10 thousand copies, 7 rubles. Behind the book (minus interest). TOTAL for the first edition of Vasily received about 61 thousand rubles.
Modest income did not force Mahanenko to quit a writhe. 7 novels about Shaman were gradually born (the last "search of the creator" - was given to the author especially difficult due to the lack of ideas), the "Dark Paladin" cycles and the Galaktion Project, which opens the book "Galaktyon. In the coming months, literpg fans hope to get the 4th part of the trilogy about the "Dark Paladine" from Mahanenko, although the cycle initially thought as a trilogy.
