Biography
The Swiss folk metal group Eluveitie originated as a studio project of a guitarist and singer Christian Krieghel Glanzmann, who recorded the debut EP with the help of session musicians. He then collected the constant composition of the participants who played different tools, and released a number of full-format albums with the songs of the peoples of the Scandinavian land.The history of creation and composition
The sole author of the history of the creation of Eluveitie became the Swiss musician Christian Kriel Glanzmann, who after the failure of numerous attempts to create a full-fledged group in 2002 with the support of vocalists and instrumentalists organized studio project.
The project was widespread, forcing the founder to think about the constant composition, and together with vocalists, drummer, violinists and guitarists in 2003, Glanzmann eventually assembled a full folk bend.
In addition to the masters who played on traditional European tools, Eluveitie has enlisted support for soloist and populists, and with their help to sound the group, swabs, crooks, flutes, and wheeled lira were added to the group.
However, due to the large number of participants, the team did not differ in stability, and at different times they included such performers as Linda Zuther, Did Martope, Anna Murphy and Philip Reinman. In 2017, the changes stopped, and now the bones of the group are the Investigator Kristian Kriegel Glanzmann, Guitarist Rafael Salzman, the violinist Nicole Anncher and the drummer Alain Akerman.
Music
After the output of the trial EP called "VêN", that translated from Gallsky meant "for wild joy," Eluveitie made a series of concerts, including participation in the Metal Festival Elements of Rock, and then the group signed a contract with a Dutch recording studio and in 2006 The year made a cover on the Germans from Falkenbach.Then the release of the debut album "Spirit", which included "UIS Elveti", "Of Fire, Wind & Wisdom", "Aidû" and other melodic Dat-metal-folk compositions, which was enthusiastic adopted by the public and earned the attention of the Nuclear Blast label.
In 2008-2009, after changing the composition and arrival of a new vocalist, Eluveitie was replenished with discography with the plates "Slania" and "Evocation I: Arcane Dominion", which took high places in the Metal Storm music portal ranking. In 2010, after the collection called "The Arcane Metal Hammer Edition", a new album was available on the official website for free download.
The team acquired international fame and in the status of the owners of the UP and COMING 2010 awards, presented the "Helvetios" disk, and after the touring tour of Europe and South America, Eluveitie became the leaders of the Scandinavian Folk scene and received the National Award at the Swiss Music Awards ceremony.
It pushed the musicians to create further work in the chosen genre and gave rise to the "Origins" record dedicated to Celtic mythology. In 2014, first singles appeared in the works of the group, accompanied by video clips, the most famous of which were "King", Omnos and Havoc.
In 2016, the cover of the 2nd part of the "Evocation" appeared on Facebook Eluveitie, which a few months later appeared called "Evocation II: Pantheon". In 2017, after the world tour with the new vocal, Fabenne Ernie was announced another plate presented by the "Rebirth" singles, "Ambiramus", "The Slumber" and "Ategnatos".
Eluveitie now
On April 5, 2019, a presentation of 16 original tracks from the eighth studio album ELUVEITIE "ATEGNATOS", which entered the ranking 100 of the best works in Schweizer Hitparade hit, Ö3 Austria, Offizielle Top 100 and Promusicae are held.
Since October, the Group plans to fulfill new music at concerts, which within the framework of Ategnatos European Tour 2019 will be held in Stuttgart, Antwerp and Barcelona, as well as in Stockholm, Oslo, Helsinki and other capitals of European countries.
