The homeland of Marina Stepnova is the city of Efremov, located in the Tula region. The girl was born on September 2, 1971. Father was busy in military service, and his mother worked as a doctor. When Marina turned 10 years old, the family moved to Chisinau.
Stepnova graduated from school in Moldova and entered the university at the Faculty of Philology. After 3 years, the girl was translated into the Moscow Literary Institute. Gorky, as it was planned to become a translator.

The authorship of Stepnova belongs to the translation of the play "Unnamed Star" Mikhail Sebastian. In this variation, the work has repeatedly appeared on theatrical stage of Russia.
Personal life
Marina Stepnova was married twice. The first marriage writer concluded with a colleague arsion to the end. Young people met at the Institute, and their love turned out to be a bright youthful feeling.
