The history of the creation of the ensemble is unthinkable without Benjamin Burnley - Vocalist, guitarist and the author, born in 1978 in New Jersey. The guy was fond of music from an early age and adored to curtain under the guitar of the song of his idols - Kurt Kobein, The Creed, Deftones. Soon he collected the first composition of the musicians.
A period of recording albums and concert speeches began, but at the same time the first break was happening in the group. The drummer Jeremy Hammel in 2004 left the composition, along the way, accusing his colleagues that they were owed money for the joint written song "We Are Not Alone", and requested compensation at $ 8 million, but his request did not satisfy his request.
The next time, major differences happened in the group in 2011, when the team simultaneously left the guitarist Aaron Fink and bassist Mark Klepaska. In 2013, the team left and drummer Chad Zeliga, justifying the care of creative disagreements and participation in new projects. Thus, at that time, almost nothing left of the group.

The debut plate of Breaking Benjamin came out in August 2002 and was called "Saturaate". The disk hit Billboard Top 200, however, taking a position only in the second hundred. In order to achieve fame, the musicians still had to try. With such hope, in 2004, they released another release called "We Are Not Alone" and could celebrate good luck: the album gained platinum status.The track "So Cold", who gave the name of the mini-album, who came out in the same year and kept the acoustic version of the hit, who did not leave the American top 20 for 37 weeks.
The next disk "Phobia" turned out to be even more commercially successful and broke sales records in the first weeks after the release in August 2006. He contained "Dance With The Devil" and "The Diary of Jane" - a ballad that preceded the album and became the best-selling single in the history of the Hollywood Records label.
"DEAR AGONY" came out after a 3-year-old pause and introduced the "Fade Away" hits, "Without you" and "Give Me A Sign". True, shortly after the release, the group took a creative vacation, referring to the disease of the leader. Pause was dragged for 3 years due to conflicts between the participants, as a result of which only Ben Burnley remained in the team.
The long-awaited return of Breaking Benjamin took place in 2015 with the album "Dark Before Dawn", which immediately headed Billboard 200. Most material for the plate was recorded before the arrival of new participants, so the sound was like the fact that the group did before.
Breaking Benjamin now
On April 13, 2018, the Group released the album "Ember", which was sixth in discography. The output of the record was preceded by singles "Feed the Wolf", "Blood", "Psycho" and "Save Yourself". The release turned out to be heavy and gloomy even against the background of previous works, which you won't call the lungs. This applies to both the sound and texts, under which the dramatic clips taken on the "Red Cold River" and "Turniquet" tracks.
