Welsh writer Ken Follett, also known under the pseudonyms Simon Miles, Zakhari Stone, Bernard L. Ross and Martin Martinson, is one of the most popular authors working in the genre of detective, thriller and historical novel. The biography of the future writer Kenet Martin Follett began in the Welsh city of Cardiff on June 5, 1949. The success of the debut book "Needle Ushko" surpassed the most bold expectations of the author, and in one beautiful morning Ken woke up rich and famous. The spy thriller, based on the real events that occurred during the Second World War, received the Award of Edgar software and "Secret Writers of America" and in 1981 was fascinated.Enjoying the triumph, the writer at the same time began to experience anxiety due to the fact that the next conceived books could not withstand competition with the first brilliant novel. Therefore, to work on the works of "Troy", "the key to Rebecca", "Man from St. Petersburg" and "on the eagle wings" it took much longer.
Later, the plots of the series called "Kingsbridge" became world bestsellers and were used when creating a computer game Daedalic Entertainment and several popular desktop strategies.
In the breaks between these fantastic-historical novels, the writer returned to the original triller genre and replenished the bibliography with such works as "dangerous inheritance", "the third twin" and "dank", and then took up a new trilogy that narrated about the tragic life of five connected families.
Published under the general name "Century Trilogy", the novels "Fall of the Giakanov", "Winter Peace" and "The Border of Eternity" covered the events of the Russian revolution and the first and second world wars and were enthusiasticly accepted by critics and the public, won the first places in the ratings of the popular science Literature.
Personal life
Follett's first love was a childhood friend named Mary, separated by school and university hobbies of the future writer. In 1968, when the girl became known about pregnancy, the lovers played a wedding and soon became the parents of the boy called Emmanuel.
Despite the young age, the spouses are guarded by the child and tried to spend together as much time. In 1973, the family of lovers was replenished with daughter Marie-Claire and moved to France, in order for children to have a new language and acquired foreign friends.
After a couple of years, Kenet seriously occurred to British politics, and the family returned to England, acquiring a cozy estate in Surrey. It was there at the meeting of the Labor Party Party Follett met with the activist Barbara Hubbard, who eclipsed Mary and took her place next to the writer.
In the future, people who are passionate about each other were combined with marriage and built warm relationships on the principle of compounds of public, political and personal life.
Barbara was elected three times to the British Parliament, and Kenet, with the support of his wife, achieved fame and popularity and took an active part in the work of the Levocentric Party, taking the depths of the money collector and supporting supporters of Prime Minister Tony Blair.
Ken Follett now
Now the writer with his wife lives in London and own real estate in foreign territories, including the South African city of Cape Town and a place in the bay located on Antigua Island. Continuing the literary work, Ken deserved many honored ranks and awards, the highest of which is considered the excellent Order of the British Empire.Propaging their own creativity and public attitudes, Follett acts as a speaker and activist and, judging by the photo published in "Instagram", often appears with lectures in various forums and educational festivals.
So, in 2019, he met with the participants of Hay Festival and told about the new book from the Kingsbridge series.
