The biography of Dave Groang played a big role in the history of Foo Fighters. He became the founder of the team. At the age of 10, he learned to play the guitar, to 11 already recorded his compositions on the cassettes, and in 12 he became the owner of the electric guitar.

The young man was a member of the school group that performed rock hits. Most often, novice musicians were invited to play in the evenings in the nursing home. Thanks to the cousin, Gold learned what punk rock was. After the relative of the relative for a couple of weeks on vacation, Dave understood: it's time to change something in life. A young man retrained from a guitarist in the drummer and began to cooperate with different musical teams, gaining experience. In parallel, he studied professional sound recording.

In the 1990s, Dave Grool was invited to the Nirvana group as a drummer. Then, few people knew that besides Kurt Kobein, there is another person creating author's songs in the team. Dave collected the material and in 1992 made a demo-recording under the pseudonym Late!. The cassette was called "PocketWatch".

In 1994, Kobain died. Nirvana participants did not continue joint activities. Horp at first was looking for interesting offers, and then decided to assemble his own group. By the time there were more than 40 songs in his piggy bank. He chose 12 and recorded them, independently creating an accompaniment on all musical instruments. After completing the work, the artist presented several instances of recording buddies. The cassette was called "Foo Fighters".
