Biography
In the early 2000s, when the American public with skepticism referred to new teams, an indie rock band with a strange name Yeah Yeah Yeahs appeared on the club scene of New York. The history of the Year of Yeah Yeah Yeahs Group is connected with the names of the South Korean performer Karen Lee Orzolek and the American photographer Nick Zinner who met in the night institution, and then began cooperation in New York.
At the first stage, the team was a duet called Unitard, playing acoustic compositions in the genre of primitivism and folk. However, soon the participants thought about electronic sound and moved towards the music of art punk and indie rock.
To implement the new idea of Karen, the support of the drummer Brian Chaise, who knew in his studies in the Oberlin Conservatory, and decided to organize a trio that used New York Jargon in the name. In 2000, Yeah Yeah Yeahs with a dozen songs started rehearsals and soon after that he was heated at The White Stripes and The Strokes.
Music
The success of the mini-album "Yeah Yeah Yeahs" with the compositions "Bang", "Mystery Girl", "Art Star" and other tracks provided the Group international recognition and included musicians to independent Indi-Charts of Great Britain and the Hit Parade of Europe and the United States. The rapid behavior of the soloist, watering the public with water from the stage, received enthusiastic reviews of analysts and attracted the attention of producers of major recording companies.The FEVER TOEL plate, the appearance of which was preceded by the single "Date With The Night", received high assessments of musical critics and was called the revival of the garage direction with elements of art punk style elements, blues and dance rock. In 2005, Karen O and Company returned to the studio work and recorded the record, which, by mood, style and sound, very much resembled the previous disk. Not satisfied with the repetition of a creative concept, the musicians were in no hurry with the release and after conflicts, almost those who did not lead to parting, erased all traces of the work done and began to re-invent songs, an exclusive concept album.
However, the initial idea to devote a new creation of a soloist cat also did not receive incarnation, and the record called "Show Your Bones" became a set of songs, combined with melody and genres of minimalism and gothic rock. Changes, the most brightly manifested in the compositions "Gold Lion", "Phenomena", "Cheted Hearts" and "Way Out", liked critics.
As a response, Yeah Yeah Yeahs engaged in replenishment of discography and in March 2009, the project "IT 'Blitz!" With the singles "Zero", "Heads Will Roll" and "Skeletons". According to Nick Lona, who produced each of the 10 compositions, the record was different from the usual due to the fact that the participants were composed in the studio and at first did not know how a whole product should look like.
