The group arose in 1974. The history of the creation began with Curise. At the first concert, the group acted as a trio. Guys hit the audience not only music, but also with torn clothes. Members of the team on the initiative of Douglas called themselves Ramonami - Joey Ramon, Johnny Ramon, etc., although not a single musician with such a surname was not.
The choice of pseudonym is due to two reasons: Ramonami in the New York of the 70s of the 20th century were called participants in Latin American gangs, and punk is a protest music. In addition, Paul McCartney at the beginning of the career performed as Paul Ramon.
Over the years of existence, the composition of the collective, the number of participants and the distribution of instrumental parties between the musicians has changed more than once. Only Kammins (Johnny Ramon) and Hyman (Joey Ramon) were in the group from beginning to end.
Music
For the songs Ramones is characterized by deliberately marginal behavior of the lyrical hero, dismissive attitude to the guitar solo, rapid pace and rough vocals.
