Sergey Voitenko was born on May 12, 1973 in the Samara region, in the village of Bogdanovka. By 7 years, the boy has already been engaged in the Bayana class in a music school, and in a more conscious age he entered the music school in the same direction. With 11 years, Voitenko actively participated in contests, becoming the winner of creative competitions.
By the time of arrival at the Samara Pedagogical University, Sergey was already a laureate of the three All-Russian contests of young accordionists and bayanists. The young man won in the V All-Russian executing competition in 1994.
In 1999, Voitenko completed training in graduate school of the Russian Academy of Music and entered the Profile Department of the Samara State Pedagogical University.
