Forth was born in Berkeley, California, May 28, 1945. His father was a native of South Dakota and worked in the newspaper. Mother Lucille from Montana. Later, Fogerty talked about the school, that he was not allowed to go to the toilet and often had to sit in wet clothing.

Music
Upon returning from the army, the musician chose another name for the group - Creedence Clearwater Revival. John became a soloist instead of his brother. By 1968, the team had better at the team. Saul Zeinz, the former producer of Fogerti, heard in the text of the insult song in his address and appealed to the court. The proceedings were long, but John won them.
In this conflict, it became a surprise that volume and other participants of the CCR group stood on the side of Zeints. John regarded it as a betrayal and stopped communicating with them. Even when Creedence was introduced into the Rock and Roll Fame Hall in 1993, Foherti refused to speak with his former comrades for the group and invited other musicians to play at the initiation ceremony. Personal life
