The name received by the boy's birth was sounded like that Arsenius Eznepidis. The child was born on July 25, 1924. His homeland became Cappadocia, the inhabitants of which experienced the exchange carried out between the Turks and the Greeks. Ezneripids moved to Confirsion, and there Arseny took an adolescence. Having received secondary education at school, he studied carpenter's craft.
In 1945, the young man went to serve in the army. Military actions were conducted in Greece, and he defended his homeland, being a radist. In this position, Arseny consisted of 3 years. The idea of the adoption of Monastic Hardwood came to Eznepidis already in his youth. He planned to embody her at the end of the war. But originally had to help the sisters restore the farm and take care of family life.

After him, Arseny began to wear the name Averky and settled in the monastery of the Philofey as a student of Father Simeon.
