Biography

Black Eyed Peas began as an alternative hip-hop group, but subsequently changed the style, preferred popular and dance music. They exist since 1995, but only 8 years have achieved real success and began to conquer the tops of world charts. Black Eyed Peas is a group with a complex history, which, despite breaks, 20 years later continues.

The history of creation and composition

Black Eyed Peas was officially formed in 1992, but the history of the Group's creation began 4 years earlier, in 1988. Then eight-graders William Adams (Will.i.am) and Allan Pineda (APL.DE.AP) began to read rap in clubs in Los Angeles clubs. The talent of the guys attracted the attention of Ruthless Records, and in 1992 the company concluded a contract with them. Initially, William and Allan were attracted by Dante Santiago into the team of their friend and called A.B.A.n Klann trio.

However, the debut album of the group did not come out - the founder of the Ruthless Records died, and in 1995 the team changed the name, first on Black Eyed Pods, and then to the Black Eyed PEAS known today. At this stage, the group left Dante Santiago (however, remaining the background performer), new participants came to replace him - Rapper Taboo and singer Kim Hill.

Music

A distinctive feature of the musicians became performances with live music, unlike the classic Hip-Hop and Gangsta-rap format. Recognition of critics came to the group in 1998, after Black Eyed Peas, concluding a contract with Interscope Records, released Behind The Front's debut album. In the same year, the singer Sierra Swan singer joined the musicians, which worked with the musicians until the 2000th.

In 2000, the 2nd album of Bridging The Gap group saw the 2nd album, in the process of creating Hill left the team, although she took part in the record "Hot" and "Tell Your Mama Come" tracks.

Work on the next disk Elephunk The musicians began in November 2001, and ended only after 2 years. This album was the first in which Fergi vocals sounded, subsequently for a permanent member of the Black Eyed Peas team. Moreover, initially the place of the vocalist was to get Nicole Sherezinger, but the girl refused due to the contract with Eden's Crush.

Elephunk became the first album in which the elements of pop music came to replace the classic hip-hop. Critics disc was perceived benevolently, and the popular music journal Rolling Stone separately noted the positive effect of the Fergie on the style of the team.

One of the ELEPHUNK tracks was the Where Is The Love, which became the first large hit Black Eyed PEAS hit. It reached the 8th place in the US HOT 100, and in the UK headed the chart, holding a 1st week for 7 weeks. In addition, in the United Kingdom, the song has become the best Single 2003. Other tracks from the album were successful, but the public was particularly favorably perceived Let's Get Started - in 2005 the composition received "Grammy".

Shortly after Elephunk, performers released a new Disk Monkey Business - he saw the light on June 7, 2005. Singles from it were no less successful than predecessors. DON'T PHUNK WITH MY HEART IN THE USA has become a hit, reaching the 3rd position in US HOT 100, and also replenished the Grammy Awards, conquered by Black Eyed Peas.

Despite the obvious popularity of the composition in many countries, it did not cost without friction. The word "Phunk" is close enough to the border of obscene vocabulary, so some radio stations have been broadcast a more correct alternative version - DON'T MESS WITH MY HEART.

Another song from the album My Humps also gained popularity in the USA, despite frankly sexual subtext - in US HOT 100 the musicians were again in the 3rd place, and in Australia, the top of the hit parade took. The dubious sense load of the text led to the fact that the opinions of critics were divided into her, but it did not affect success, and in the album Billboard 200 Monkey Business, the Monkey Business was confidently debuted on the 2nd line. The last single from the Pump IT disk was taken worse: in Australia he reached only until the 8th place, and in the USA remained at the 18th.

In December 2005, the Group went with concerts to the European Tour, which began in Israel and continued in Ireland, Great Britain, Germany and France. In 2007, the musicians went to the world tour of Black Blue & You, during which more than 20 countries visited, including Russia. Pepsi was represented as part of the new Pepsi More advertising campaign, for which Black Eyed Peas recorded the song "More".

March 21, 2006 Black Eyed Peas released remix album called Renegotiations: The Remixes to iTunes. It featured remixed versions of Ba Bump, My Style, Feel IT and some others.

In October 2008, Will.i.am reported Billboard.com that the group is preparing to complete the work on the fifth in its discography The End album, the name of which is decrypted as "The Energy Never Dies". The disk came out on June 9, 2009 and interested fans with an updated sound - there were more electronics. Over the first week, the album was sold out in the amount of 304 thousand copies and ranked 1st place in Billboard 200, and in the TOP-10 chart The End stayed 38 weeks.

Black Eyed Peas Studio Album, The Beginning, saw the light on November 30, 2010 and received mixed reviews. The first single The Time was ahead of the disk for the month - October 20, it was released through Twitter -Akunt Will.i.am. The next Just Can't Get Enough was released in February 2011, and the musicians on the song were removed in Tokyo just a week before the earthquake and tsunami.

Another achievement of 2011 for the group was the performance on the superbound on February 6. But in the summer during a concert in Staffordshire, the musicians said that after completing the tour, take a break for an indefinite time.

The break was really followed, however, Will.i.am during a story about his solo album reported that Black Eyed Peas in 2015 will begin work on a new record. Information also appeared that the 20th anniversary of the collective is waiting for changes in the composition. The musicians presented the new song "Awesome", which became part of the advertising clips of the playoffs NBA 2015, and at the same time, the Fergie did not participate in her record.

Already then the fans began to guess that the singer would most likely leave the team. On August 31, 2016, the musicians released the new version of "Where's The Love?", In the clip for which the Fergie still participated, but this composition became the last joint work of vocalists and Black Eyed Peas.

On June 2, 2017, a rumor appeared in the Billboard newspaper that the singer left the group. Will.i.am denied information, however, he said that Fergie takes a break to work on a solo album.

Black Eyed PEAS now

On January 9, 2018, the team released its 1st single without the usual vocalist "Streer Livin", and in February of the same year, Will.i.am reported that there would be no participating in the record of the new album. Masters of the Sun disk saw the light on October 26, 2018.

Now, after reunion, the group continues to work and record new compositions. At the end of February 2019, the premiere of the new Black Eyed PEAS clip on the "Get Ready" song took place. The video is removed in a minimalist style - in addition to the musicians themselves appear on the background of a brick wall, an animation illustrates some lines sometimes appears in the roller.

The group has a channel on YouTube, a microblog in Twitter and the official website, thanks to which the fans of musicians can see new photos, as well as learn the latest team news and the schedule of concerts.
