The biography of Cook began in the summer of 1944. The boy was born in New York, the United States, however, almost immediately, together with his parents, moved to California, where his childhood passed. From the young age he loved to read, somehow the neighbor took a selection of books about Tarzan and from that time did not let the stories from the hands. These were Westerns and historical novels, and then fiction. And when everything was read in the local library, the young man decided to try to compose his own one.
So in the 7th grade Cook for the first time writes about Adam and Eve, then comes up with a story about the aliens who participate in the battle on the plain Armageddon with the Egyptians and Hitts. In the senior school, the young man received enthusiastic reviews of teachers when it was a matter of writing stories to any topics, but before this day "rary" samples of writing skills of Cook did not reach.
