The history of the American group Cage The Elephant began with 2006 since 2006, but only a decade to truly glorify the musicians later: in 2017, their Tell Me I-Pretty took the Grammy for the best rock album. Cage The Elephant participants got acquainted with each other's musical abilities in the older school Bowling Green, Kentucky. The former group was called Perfect Confusion. In 2005, they had the same mini-compilation that was left without only labels, but even classmates.
The most experienced in Perfect Confusion was Matthew Schulz, who still in the 7th grade joined the experimental LEFT Nostril punk team. After school, a fracture took place in the biography of a talented vocalist, and he settled in a plumber into a construction store.
Later in an interview with Rock IT OUT magazine! Schulz told that if in 2006 did not throw this work, then stuck there until the end of his days. Career growth turned out to be insignificant: Matthew trained a construction store on a coffee shop where Brad Schulz worked.
Did not differ by professional success and other Cage The Elephant. For example, Daniel Tichenor worked in Lowe's - an American company that specializes in products to improve housing conditions. Jared Champion found a place in the pet store.
In 2006, young people were injured to waste life, and they went deep into music, but under the new name Cage The Elephant (from the English. "Elephant Cell"). For the sake of fame, young people had to move to the capital of Great Britain. By the time Gitarist Lincoln Parisha turned on only 16 years. June 23, 2008 Cage The Elephant has released a debut album in the UK. The United States, as well as Japan, Australia and Canada heard the material only in April 2009.Cage The Elephant composed a debut plate in popular then genres of music - a garage and alternative rock, indie, punk blues, but the society did not immediately appreciate their creativity. The first singles "FREE LOVE" and "IN ONE EAR" did not even go to the radio. But the song "AIN'T NO REST FOR THE WICKED" reached the 32nd place in the British Charts of Singles, in the USA in 2009 awarded the 3rd place in the Chart of Alternative Songs and the 83rd - in Billboard Hot 100.
The second album "Thank You, Happy Birthday" was born hard. Its exit under the other name "Computer Says Move" was expected in early 2010. However, Cage The Elephant, by that time, writing more than 80 songs, decided that none would not be a hit. Then the guys took ideas that were kept for third-party projects, and began recording the album at first. Last for a year, "Thank You, Happy Birthday" came out in January 2011.
Clip on Shake Me Down In September 2011, nominated for the MTV Video Music Award Award as the best rock video. It was the first recognition of Cage The Elephant. Then the Rolling Stone magazine called the group with the best new artist of 2011.
Cage The Elephant went to the studio to record the third album "Melophobia", which means "fear of music". The premiere of the debut single "COME A LITTLE Closer" took place on August 8, 2013. Exactly 2 months later, the entire album went out.
In December 2013, Cage The Elephant left Lincoln Parish to focus on his Producer Talkboxrodeo. Despite this, the group continued touring. Musicians performed with Muse, Foals, The Black Keys. With the last Cage The Elephant duet, it was so much so that Dan Auerbach decided to produce their next album.
"Tell Me I'm Pretty" came out in December 2015. The cover uses the photo of the Rachel Sykes model. In February 2017, Tell Me I'm Pretty won the Grammy as the best rock album. The reward increased the popularity of Cage The Elephant: the song "Cold Cold Cold", "Trouble", "Mess Around".

In November 2018, Cage The Elephant announced in Twitter that the new album is ready. January 31, 2019 in "Instagram" the group presented an excerpt of the first single "Ready to Let Go". The Social Cuess Disc itself saw the light on April 19, 2019 and made his debut at 21st place in Billboard 200.
The collection includes 13 tracks, more gloomy than with previous albums in the discography Cage The Elephant. Most songs, for example, "GoodBye", "Ready to Let Go" and "Love's The Only Way", are inspired by the divorce of Matt Schulz with his wife Juliet Buc.
Now Cage The Elephant includes 6 people. In addition to the famous Matt and Brad Schultsev, Jared Champion and Daniela Tychenor, music now create a cinema nickname (guitar, keyboards, backing vocals) and Matthew of Mini (keyboard, rhythm guitar).
On the official Cage The Elephant website published a schedule of performances, judging by which the group finished the year in the US tour. Dates are painted until October 2019.
