The name comes on behalf of the character of the American folk song "Stagger Lee", and the minor character of the majority of compositions arose under the influence of the music and poems of Tom Wate, St. Petersburg weather and the first profession of the founder of the team (pathologist).The history of creation and composition
In numerous interviews, Billy Novik is divided by the concept (introducing listeners in trance without consumption of alcohol) and the history of the creation of a group. The team has 2 Founders-founder - Vadim Valerevich himself and Andrei Sergeevich Reznikov (scenic pseudonym Ryzhik), who worked as an art director at the club on the Babeokhtinsky Prospect, in which the Nova doctor did the first steps on stage.
Both founders have a memorable stage image: Billy has a hat, and the Ryzhka is a hairstyle-palm tree. In the formation of the group, the parents of Reznikov played an important role: Mama Alla served as director of the team, and Pope Sergey Reznikov - manager and the author of the texts.
Since 2002, a saxophonist and composer Maxim liquid, music teacher according to Diploma received at the Nizhny Novgorod Pedagogical University joined the Billisam.
