The history of the creation of the Evanescence group began in 1994, when two of its creator - Amy Lee vocalist and guitarist Ben Moody - met in the summer camp of Christian youth. Both were born in the small town of Little Rock in Arkansas, USA, then teenagers were 13 and 14 years old.

And after the release of the album "Origin", they start searching for new participants, so the drummer Rocky Gray and guitarist John Lekompt hit the group.
At first, the songs were broadcast only on religious radio stations, Hodges more than others led to this concept, but due to differences, increasingly emerging between the musicians, the back-vocalist left the team. And soon the Moody stated at all that their music is not spiritual, it caused indignation by radio stations.
Until then, "Evanescence" performed exclusively in the vicinity of Little Rock, without being able to develop at a more global scale. Therefore, Amy Lee and Moody decide to move to Los Angeles and here you already send demo-recording on sound recording studios, in the hope of finding a worthy label. As a result, the contract they concluded with an independent producer Dave Fortman.
Another new person as part of Evanescence appears only in 2003, they became Basist Will Boyd. And in the same year the group fans waited for another news - Bin Moody left the team. For all, it became a big surprise, since Amy's protruding on vocals and the main composer of the team positioned themselves as best friends.
But after a time, comments on the current situation were still sounded. As her partner explained, her partner wanted to write more commercial music, while she preferred quality. The musicians could not agree on the artistic direction of the genre, with whom they will continue to perform, and therefore the guitarist left and took up the solo project.

From another American group to "Evanescence" Will Hunt and Troy McLahoren almost immediately joined. They began to act as temporary participants, but later remained there on a permanent basis. Until 1998, few people knew about the duet, the first glory of the guys received after the recording of the mini-album "Sound Asleep". The debut full-length album was born from the guys with the appearance in their ranks. Plate "Origin" included the compositions recorded a year earlier, as well as several new songs.This disc brought a big success to the team, they began to write about it in magazines, which even more attracted the interest of students, however, they released it with a circulation of 2500 copies, which quickly separated at the concerts of the guys. And since for many years, this record was in demand and because of the limited release turned literally into the rarity, later the team allowed free distribution on the Internet, referring to her Demody.
After the successful release of "Evanescence", it starts to collect materials for the new album, but all attempts to release it were not crowned with success. By the time the guys have already collaborated with Wind-Up Records recording label, with which other popular teams worked.
Due to the well-thoughtful work of the company in the charts of radio stations immediately hits the song "Turniquet", which later became a hit, and soon the KLAL-FM began to broadcast the composition "Bring Me to Life". Having moved to Los Angeles, with the help of the producer Dave Fortman "Evanescence" record several songs, which later entered the album "Fallen". This plate brought the Americans a huge success.
