In 2005, Boyz-Bend took two new participants - the keyboard player Tom Simpson and Basist Paul Wilson, who replaced the brand of McCleld because of disagreements. In this composition, they recorded the album "Eyes Open". The "Chasing Cars" composition was used as a soundtrack for the "Anatomy Gray" serial and was nominated for the Grammy Award. The plate has become a sales leader in the UK.

However, against the background of success, the group experienced difficult times. Soloist Gary Lightbodi got sick, because of what they had to postpone the tour and part of the concerts.
