As I Lay Dying's group gained fame as a representative of an alternative Havi-metal scene, reached the 1st line of the American Billboard Hit Parade. In 2000, the author of the Creating History As I Lay Dying became a vocalist Tim Lambisis, who, after leaving the Society Finest group, was united with the Drummer Point of Recognition by Jordan Mancino and created a narrow-format alternative duet. Together they chose the name suggested by the Roman William Falkner, and took the professional guitarist known under the name Evan White.
After a year of rehearsals, Label Pluto Records offered guys a contract for recording the record. After typing the missing instrumentalists from the Hard-Cor-American TRAGEDY, newcomers fulfilled the obligations to producers and in June 2001 presented the studio debut album.
At the first tour of the attracted rhythm guitar player, Cherki Aerman became clear that for high-quality music playback, the group needs their own resources. By inviting friends Noah Chaise and Tommy Garcia, Tim and Jordan came out of the situation and thus expanded the permanent staff.
In the following years, the team had changes associated with the departure of some participants and the emergence of musicians such as Brandon Hace, Aaron Kennedy, Clint Norris and Jason Kerbs. And now, apart from the founder and soloist Tim Lambizis, the initial drummer of Jordan Mancino, keyboard player and back-vocalist Phil Jrosso, Solo guitarist Nick Hip and Josh Gilbert, responsible for the bass.
Music
After receiving certain fame after the outlet of the plate called Under the Encasing of Ashes, the musicians moved further and released the second studio album. With the advent of FRAIL WORDS COLLAPSE AS I LAY DYING reached No. 30 in an independent American charts. After the tour with the Himsa, Shadows Fall groups, Killswitch Engage and Hatebreed distributed clips on Forever, 94 hours and other compositions in the television networks of America Fuse and MTV2's Headbanger's Ball.In 2005, continuing to work in the classic genre of Hevi-Metal, Tim Labezis and the company replenished the discography of the 3rd plate Shadows Are Security, which immediately fell into alternative charts and debuted under No. 1. And in the summer of 2006, As I Lay Dying became chadlinins of an alternative music festival and 12 months later, a fourth studio album was presented.
Ocean Between US Together with DVD This Is Who WE ARE, published in April 2009, received gold certificates and created a good platform for the release of the Powerless Rise plate, which appeared on MySpace the day before the official release and contained the compositions in the metal-cor style composition.
In 2010-2011, As I Lay Dying gave a series of concerts in support of the last album and released a DECAS compilation to celebrate the 10th anniversary. And then, at the initiative of the new producer, Bila Stevenson appeared a single Cauterize, who, together with the song A Greater Foundation, was represented by the public on the LP disk Awakened.
In 2014, after an unexpected arrest of Tim Lambisis, accused of intending to kill their spouse, a group went on vacation for a while, as noted by the fans across the photo message, placed in "Instagram". And after 4 years, the musicians reunited to record the song My Own Grave and participating in the SOMA show, during which they announced that the 7th album would soon be released.

In April 2019, As I Lay Dying released a video clip on the Redefined composition and reported that the release of the plates shaped by fire was scheduled for September 20.
In parallel with this, an attachment billboard appeared on the official website of the group, which at the beginning of the fall were held in Buenos Aires, Moscow, St. Petersburg and other settlements, including Stockholm, Prague, Berlin and Milan.
