The Fort Minor group enjoys the listeners unique, undiluted and clean to the last notch hip-hop, where every song is characterized by its own theme, style and mood. This is a solo project created by Mike Schozya, MC-vocalist Multiplatin Linkin Park group, which decided to try to do something of his own, and it turned out perfectly.The history of creation and composition
The history of the creation of a solo project called Fort Minor originates in 2004. It entered its composition the only musician - Soloist Linkin Park Mike Shinoda. He was born in Los Angeles in the winter of 1977, he began to engage in music at 3 years at the insistence of his mother. Quickly learned to play the piano, and already in 12 he wrote his own full-fledged work for the competition.
In 13 he became interested in jazz and hip-hop, and in school years mastered the guitar game and began to write songs in the Hip-Hop genre. Then he graduated from an art historical college and began to work as a graphic designer. And then, uniting with former fellow students, created the Linkin Park group.
To organize a solo project Mike decided in 2004, the name of the Fort Minor group was not randomly. Thus, a man reflected the combination of two opposites - a small and weak (or gloomy) rises against something big and strong.
Music
Songs for the debut album Shinoda did not specifically invented. The fact is that they were all written earlier and were intended for the repertoire of Linkin Park, but for one reason or another did not fit the style group. The first and only plate that fell into the discography of Fort Minor was named The Rising Tied, her release took place in the fall of 2005. The producer of the record was Jay-Z, which before that worked with Linkin Park.Although Mike represented the Fort Minor project as a solo, participation in many songs, artists like Holly Brooke, John Martaji, John Ledgend, Lupe Fiasco. Also on this list included groups of Black Thougoht of the Roots, Celph Titled and Styles of Beyond. At the same time, the participants of the Styles of Beyond team often appeared on speeches and meetings with Schonoda fans. The photo of the Fort Minor project Mike was also often with this team.
Later, a man took off with the Styles of Beyond clip on the Redember The Name track, he was the second in the album and in the 2006/2007 season became a soundtrack of the National Basketball Association for additional TURNER Network Television. And soon the song Where'd You Go, who also became the hit Fort Minor, took the 4th position in the popular American chart.
In 2005-2006 and 2010, the project tracks were sounded in the TV series "Hands", "Boston Lawyers", "4ISH", "Night Friday Lights" and "Karate-Patzan" films, "Freedom Writers" and "Second Chance". For such success, Fort Minor received the MTV VMA premium for the best ringtone.
In 2006, the Shinoda presented to listeners of 2 mixtape, and although they did not enter the album, these tracks also had popularity for some time.
Ending project
About the collapse of the collective, or rather his temporary "frost," Mike told fans in the fall of 2006, because at that time was focused on working on the new album Linkin Park.
Despite this, periodically at the concerts of his main group before starting and at the end of the speeches sounded the lines of Fort Minor songs. And the RECEMBER THE NAME track team was periodically played entirely. In 2012, the Shinoda attempted to revive the project, as he himself told in an interview, sharing plans about recording of the 2nd album, but this did not happen.
