Career
The Military Career Shamanov was more than successful: graduating from the school, the graduate was immediately appointed commander of the platoon, starting the movement up the stairs of military posts. He managed to stand up to 42 years at the head of the army, while skipping intermediate stages that usually precede such a high position.By that time, the officer graduated from M. Frunze Military Academy. In the early 1990s, he participated in operations in the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh and remained in the Caucasus, which was at that time a solid hot spot. Since 1995, he commanded the military groups during hostilities in Chechnya during which he was injured. Shamanov methods were often regarded as extremely tough, as a result of which he fell into focus of attention of the Strasbourg court.
At the same time, the talent of the commander who led the special operations was recognized, during which the invasions were reflected, diverting and destroyed the gangs, and dangerous areas were stormed. During the second Chechen campaign, the General was responsible for the elimination of the detachments of Shamil Basayev.
In 2000, Vladimir decided to start a civil career and ran to the post of governor of the Ulyanovsk region. This position was held until 2004, when he took the position of assistant chairman of the Russian government. Military service of Shamans left in 2016, reaching the position of the commander of the airborne troops. From the moment he replenished the ranks of Russian politicians, becoming a deputy of the State Duma.
Personal life
With the future wife, Lyudmila Vladimir met in Ryazan, still as a cadet of the airborne school. They got married after the release and since then did not part. Shamans are now engaged in public activities, heading the Russian Association of Heroes and taking the position of Chairman of the Council of "Peatriots World". Being a prominent representative of the Airborne Community, Vladimir enters the supervisory board of the Union of paratroopers of Russia.
