The history of the creation of Sofi Tukker began in 2014 from two young people named Sophie Hole-Weld and Tucker Halpern, who studied together at Brownovsky University of Providence and both became part of the novice team. Despite the frequent meetings in the walls of the university, they did not communicate, right up to the art exhibition, where their official acquaintance took place.
Sophie as part of a small jazz team performed compositions of its own essay. There, Tucker first drew attention to the girl, he was interested in the performance of the former fellowship, since he himself composed electronic music at school and he studied DJing. From this point on, the pair's cooperation began.
Halpern does not like to tell about himself, from his few interviews it is known that he was born in Boston and is a native American. Sophie's childhood has passed in Germany, where she was brought up in a bilingual family. A couple of years lived in rural areas of Canada, then he studied at College in Italy and only then moved to America, where he entered Brownunovsky University. Parents of the girl live in Holland.
Before sticking with music, Tucker was professionally engaged in basketball and planned to develop his career in this direction. But the injury received during the game chained him to bed for 8 months. In order not to waste the time, he mastered DJing. Sophie also planned to move to Brazil to teach the dance yoga. But after dating plans, the pairs changed dramatically, now in their biographies the music began to take first place.

The first mini-album of the team presented to listeners in July 2016. The record called EP Soft Animals included 6 songs, including the Drinkee track. He became a dance hit of the summer, despite the fact that was executed in Portuguese. In it, Sophie's voice merges with the sounds of electric guitars, bells and bongo, thereby creating an effect resembling chants.
