The history of the Group's creation began with Sam Smith, who was born in London in a secured family (mother - banker, father - businessman). Already in the younger grades, the boy began to show interest in music, went to the lessons to the teacher, who taught the young man on the piano and taught vocals. In high school classes, he pushed his passion to the background and engaged in theatrical creativity, for some time he performed in the youth theater.
Parents supported the Son in his undertak, at the right moment they gave advice and were always there. Over time, Sam again carried away with music, began to try himself in different musical groups, but all this was not like him. To make money, musicians often had to perform in different dubious establishments.
The first Lavra glory Smith received when combined forces with the musical team of Disclosure, and after a month he became his leader. For 3 years of speeches, the guy got quite popular, and therefore decided to do a solo career. The first Latch song released instantly occupied the leading position in the main musical chart of the country, and at the same time instilled in Sam confidence that he could now make his team. In 2013, the Y2K group was born, Sam became its main soloist and front, and the remaining participants belonging to its composition prefer not to disclose their personalities.

Music
Immediately after the creation, the group presented to the listeners the first song Damn, which immediately became a hit and gained a huge number of listening. It is worth noting that the soloist performed it together with Lil Aaron.Subsequently, the group had a lot of singles. In 2018, with Raper BBNO $, he released the Money Conversation track, and another after a year - the song Investigation. The first in the discography of artists in 2019, a mini-album Take Me There appeared, he consisted of seven tracks, but only two of them got into the music charts of England, these were songs Hommies and Trying. All compositions for the SAM record performed solo.
The Y2K group releases many songs, including with joint cooperation with other musicians. For example, along with Yung Gravy and Chief Keef, they recorded Tampa Bay Bustdown track, and with Kareem Abdi - Tied in Song. For its work, the team did not once be awarded prestigious prizes and became a nominee in different categories. The team received rewards as the best new performer and for the best vocal album.
Y2K now
The Y2K group is now working on recording new songs, the team is located in London, but regularly visits concerts and other cities. Despite the large army of fans, the musicians continue to develop in the selected direction.
In the summer of 2019, Y2K released a track called Lalala, who recorded with BBNO $. For the release of the song, they came up with a story of dating and how work was carried out on the composition, and then published it on the net. The track turned out to be "explosive" and got on the 84th place in the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and later rose to the 55th position and held it for a long time.
In August of the same year, the team removed the video for a song and poured it on "Yutyub", for the first 3 months the video recruited more than 16 million views.
The popularity of the track was so great that in October Carly Ray Jeppsen and Enrique Iglesias wished to record remix with artists.
