Biography
Emil Vladimirovich Lotano - Soviet film director, screenwriter and poet of Moldavian origin. The creator of films "Tabor goes into the sky", "My tender and gentle beast."
Emil was born on November 6, 1936 in the village of Klokushna, which is located on the territory of Bessarabia not far from the border with Bukovina. Boy's parents worked teachers. Father led classes in physics, the mother taught his native speech. Santa on the paternal line had its own mill. Emil's ancestors were Romanians, Poles, Russians and Ukrainians. Father's surname first sounded like Lototsky, later was redone to the lot.
Emil's school ended in Bucharest, there began to write poems. The first compilation of the young poet came out in 1949 and was called the "contemporary". In Romania, the young man was addicted to the cinema, a great impression on Emil was produced by the American adventure painting "Dilizhans". In adolescence he lost his father. In 1953, Emil decided to move to Moscow, where he immediately entered the acting department of the Moscow Art Studio for the course of Vasily Toporkov. At the same time began working in the theater. A. S. Pushkin.
In 1955 she was transferred to the directorial faculty of Vgika. Masters of the course on which Emil studied was Grigory Roshal and Yuri Genica. At the entrance examinations to the Cinematography Institute, Lyuban pulled a ticket with a question about the film "Dilizhans", which counted the sign of fate.
Films
After graduating from Vgika, the Lyuban returns to the Moldovan SSR and starts working on a military film about the struggle of red revolutionaries "Wait for us at dawn." For shooting, the director invites the international acting team, which includes Elijah, Valery Panarin, Ion of the skin, Dumitru Karach Ban.
In 1966, the second painting of the young director "Red Polyany" comes to the screens of Soviet cinema. Love melodrama unfolds at the grounds of one of Moldovan collective farms, while traveling shepherds to the coastal part of the Dniester. Emil was looking for a challenger for the major role of the beauty of John and once met her on one of the trolleybus stops.
The girl was called Svetlana Fomicheva, she just entered the Faculty of Faculty of University. After a long conversation with the parents of the starting actress, Lotan died the girl in the Carpathians on the shooting. A year later, the work of Emil Vladimirovich was marked by several prizes of the Soviet republics.
At the end of the 60s, the lottery begins work on a scenario to the new film "Lautara" about the life, creativity and love of the stray Moldovan musicians. For the first time in this picture, Emil attracts the compatriot of the composer Evgeny Dog. Lyuan became one of the few directorists who originally worked under the phonogram of the film, the music was written in advance in accordance with the script. In 1971, the film went to the screens. Kinokartina received a number of awards in San Sebastian, in Sorrento, Naples and Orvieto.
In 1973, Emil Lyuan was invited to Mosfilm, and the director moves to Moscow, where he starts working on a new film "Tabor goes into the sky." Again the director uses a favorite folk theme. This time, the latch of Maxim Gorky, Makar Miranda, uses as the basis of the plot of the Lotman. In the film, the story of love and jealousy is closely intertwined with the bushes of stray gypsies living in Bessarabia at the end of the XIX century.
Music again writes Yevgeny Dog. In order to collect an authentic musical material, the composer together with the director had to go around the entire USSR. And only in Transbaikalia Evgeny Doga found the Gypsy family of Buusiel, the preserved vocal traditions of the last century.
The scrupulousity of the Lotube also concerned the composition of the extras. On the role of Gypsies in Tabor, the director was looking for performers in different cities of the Union. The director's efforts were justified: in 1976, the film becomes the leader of the Soviet film distribution, collecting 65 million spectators in the cinema halls. Awards go to Emily Lotube at festivals in San Sebastian, Belgrade and Prague.
Inspired by the success and new creative ideas, the Lyuban starts the screenamization of the Chekhov story "Drama on the hunt", in which a beginner actress Galina Belyaeva played. The girl with the features of both three stars of cinema - Audrey Hepburn, Tatyana Samoilova and Lyudmila Savelieva - was looking for the entire film crew on the choreographic schools of the USSR. And only in Voronezh, the assistant director found a ballerina that meets the external parameters of the heroine.
Student Galina Belyaeva never thought about creative biography in the cinema, but it turned out otherwise. Lyuban again takes to sculpt from a young actress masterpiece. In the painting "My tender and gentle beast", Galina is becoming one step with celebrities Oleg Yankovsky, Kirill Lavrov, Leonid Markov. But most of all in the film, the music of Yevgeny Dogs remembered, whose waltz became one of the masterpieces of symphonic music of the 20th century. The picture was among the nominees of the film festival in Cannes.
The last major work in the filmography of Lotube, filmed at the Mosfilm studio, became a musical drama about the fate of the Great Ballerina "Anna Pavlov", which came out on the screens in 1983. The television consisting of 5 episodes appeared in three years. The main role was performed by Muse director - Galina Belyaeva. Composer Evgeny Dog to create a film's musical accompaniment used the topics from the works of Saint-Sansa. In 1984, the Lothan film received a special prize in Oxford.
After leaving Mosfilm, Emil Lyuan returned to the homeland, where two more filmters were removed - the emission of the poem M. Emininesca "Lucaferul" and film the "shell", in which the main role was performed by the son of the director - Emil.
Starting from the mid-90s, new scenarios and ideas of Lyuban did not find support among film studios. The director begins to teach in the Chisinau Institute of Cinematography. In 1998, in Gorky Mkate, Emil Lyuan poses a performance on the works of Chekhov "All of yours, Antosha Chekhonte".
Personal life
The inborn artist Emil Lotanu needed inspiration and muse, which would give the strength to create new works. Therefore, the personal life of the director was closely related to creativity. Svetlana Fomicheva (Toma) became the first civilian wife of Emil (Toma), which Lyuan chose for filming in the film "Red Polyany". For a short time living with the director, Svetlana leaves him to the young actor Oleg Lachin.
The second time to tie myself with serious relationships Lyuban decided after filming the film "My tender and gentle beast." Galina Belyaeva became the elect, who had gave birth to Son Emil, soon after the wedding. Later, Emil Lotyan Jr. learned on a lawyer in Moscow State University and on the producer in Vgika. Now Emil lives in Los Angeles, it works as a lawyer. After filming Anna Pavlova, Galina Belyaeva decided to leave her husband. Lottan gap worked very sharply.
Both wives were much younger than director: Svetlana Toma for 12 years, Galina Belyaeva - for 25. In 2003, in Slovenia, Lotyan met the last beloved Peter Filharikov, which was henger than 50 years. This time, the senses of the masters were of a platonic character.

Death
In March 2003, Emil Lyuan went to Bulgaria to choose Nature for the new film "Yar", which entered production. At Sofia Airport, the director has become bad, and he fell into a comatose state.
Lotube was taken to Moscow to one of the clinical hospitals. A month of doctors fought for the life of the director, but on April 18, 2003, the heart of Lotano stopped. The cause of death was 4 degree cancer.
